A Facebook page has been created to discuss the possibility of creating an I-95 based supporters cup to be awarded annually between the supporters of the Philadelphia Union, DC United, New England Revolution, and the New York Red Bulls. I am sure it will also include NYCFC when they come aboard. You can check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/I95cup Also, we can use this thread for ideas about how to construct this Cup. Hopefully we can get it off the ground for 2014.
Here's a post from one of the previous threads where I give some details: I-95 Trophy? Short version: a four-sided trophy, a picture of one of the Founding Fathers associated with each city on each side--Paul Revere or John Adams for Boston, John Jay or Alexander Hamilton for New York, etc. When a team from that city wins, their name and year are engraved on that side.
That's funny, because just like larpers, the northeast corridor has created its own make-believe fantasy country, with a make-believe flag and everything. Oh, no, wait--that's "Cascadia."
If you name it the MLP Cup, you are guaranteed an additional fanbase of 2 million neckbeards. In other news, the people within the region should be the ones deciding what its called...
I'm guessing the lowest intern on the totem pole is the one who had to carry it to DC from NY last year.
I'm not sure there are any interns left to carry it. It's probably at some truck stop on the turnpike.
