It's fantastic to be observing a shift in the popularity of football in this country before our very eyes. Often, it is the business side, such as the topics mentioned in this thread that really prove that change is taking place. It's happening, maybe not all at once but times are cetainly changing. I didn't believe they would.
I'm sure this has already been said, but what does a U-Verse customer get out of this deal? Extra channels similar to NFL Sunday Ticket where I can watch all the 10 AM games PLUS some sort of app where I can watch all games on a mobile device?

Anyone know if Mun2 will be picked up in HD by any of the carriers anytime soon? Sucks to think that the majority of the matches in Spanish will be in their crappy SD quality.
I have Verizon and 0 Premier League Extra Time Fios has let to pick it up I maybe wrong but did NBC say as long as you get NBCSN you get PLET.
I am interested to hear from others what did you of the Club show also the PL countdown show? Me I think the Countdown show was mails head of what Fox gave us.
Nope - cable and satellite providers have to work out a separate deal with NBC for Extra Time (and NBC Sports Live Extra streaming). No agreement with Verizon yet for carrying Extra Time - but I think you can get NBC Live Extra streaming with a FIOS account.
Absolutely. The production quality was fantastic. Lowe is such a fantastic get for NBC. It makes it feel so much more 'authentic' to have an English host to go along with the analysts, and she knows her shit to boot.
Slightly off topic but has anyone actually gotten the NBC Sports Live app to work? Get an error message every time I open. I've deleted & redownloaded & still get the error message.
The funny thing is that Fox would never hire her because: A) she knows too much about the game and B) shes not funny enough Thats why I am glad that Fox no longer shows the Premiership, Ligue1 or Serie A. Theyre clueless and hopefully someone will win the next Champions League rights other than Ruperts Rejects!

So basically a step down in coverage from years past. I fail to see how this coverage is better, except for the fact there will be games on NBC. But FOX even played some games late in their coverage. As a follower of the EPL who routinely watched 6-10 matches a week on my television, I find it will be near impossible to recreate that experience with NBC as the carrier. Thx, Jay!
My only complaint. I hope they took notes from ESPN and they take thier stupid news ticker off the bottom of the screen when showing live games. This morning they were showing some classic games from last season and they had the news ticker running. It became painful for me to watch.
And I guess Candy Reid didn't get her resume up to New York in time - she would have been a shoe-in for that job
ESPN removed their ticker and the host broadcaster would occasionally put notifications of substitutions or whatever exactly where the ticker would have been. For this reason, I would think that NBC would be smart enough to remove theirs.
