Formation (was a B-team): Wolf - Ignjovski, Lukimya, Pavlovic, Hartherz (79. Ekici) - Yildirim Kroos, Aycicek (63. Arnautovic) - Hilßner, Akpala, Füllkrug (46. Wurtz) I could not watch the match, because I recently came home and could only watch the post-match interview with Dutt. There he said he expects it will take some more time to let the team work.
Can Akpala ever scored? How do u guys sum up Fuellkrug's pre-season performance so far? Looks like he has scored many
I would rather have a second striker on the field and drop Hunt out of the 4-3-3 they are playing now. I also think Akpala would make a good pairing with Peterson from what we've seen in pre-season...he just hasn't hit the net yet (fits right in-no one else has either) Fullkrug was lost in the DFB Cup game...the whole front 3 besides Peterson just stunk! There was also a pre-season match that Fullkrug scored 4 goals but that was a level 7 team opponent.
Against Saarbrücken Füllkrug was weak, but so was Petersen. The offense is Bremens problem like in the previous seasons. YES, the offense, not only the defense. The team has deficits in creating chances. Under Schaaf the team then moved forward to force it, but got vulnerable in defense, because there was too much space the defenders had to cover. They got unconcentrated and made mistakes. I really hope Dutt can fix this, but it won't be easy.
A tactical problem the team seems to be having is alternating between a 4-2-3-1 and a 4-3-3 every week. I applaud Dutt for experimenting, but he needs to figure out what the team is doing. And if he plays the 4-3-3, Hunt must sit--it's as simple as that--to create space for a more talented winger.
What is your prediction for this weekend? Since Elia is back and supposing the conditioning has improved, are they going to try that 4-3-3 again?
I would like to see this starting eleven against Eintracht Braunschweig. -------------------------Mielitz------------------------- Gebre Selassie-------Lukimya-------Prödl-------Fritz Makiadi----------------Junuzovic----------------Ekici Yildirim----------------Akpala----------------Petersen
Did you guys see this statistical prediction by Bloomberg sports for the next Bundesliga season? http://www.bsports.com/projectedtablesbundesliga They have us finishing 10th, with a slightly higher percentage of finishing in the top 4 than the bottom 2.

According to Transfermarkt rumor mills, Bremen is interested in Botev Plovdiv's Todor Nedelev. Reports are that Bremen was among a group of German clubs that sent scouts to observe the Europa League qualification match between Stuttgart and the Plovdiv yesterday. The Bulgarian prospect, born in 1993, plays left-wing and attacking midfield. This season he's got 3 goals in 3 games for league play, and 3 goals in 6 games for Europa League Q. He had 9 goals and 10 assists last season in the Bulgarian top tier. http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/todor-nedelev/profil/spieler_217593.html
According the bundesliga.de we will play tomorow 4-3-3. -------------------------Mielitz------------------------- Fritz-------Prödl-------Caldirola-------Gebre Selassie Ekici----------------Makiadi----------------Junuzovic Petersen----------------Hunt----------------Füllkrug
That is so close to my prediction its scary: 01. Dortmund 02. Bayern 03. Schalke 04. Leverkusen 05. Wolfsburg 06. BMG 07. Frankfurt 08. Hamburg 09. Stuttgart 10. Bremen 11-18. Who cares? I'm thinking that Frankfurt doesn't get enough respect on that list and Hannover is on thier way down.
Congrats to Ozzi Yildrim on being selected to the German Nat's U-20! announced Thursday: http://www.kreiszeitung.de/sport/werder-bremen/hrubesch-beruft-oezkan-yildirim-3049402.html
Surprised to see Juno and Ekici each playing on their weak sides, but hopefully it'll work itself out. Also surprised that Hunt is listed in the centre, even though the forwards will be all over the place.
Werder and West Ham United agreed on terms for the transfer of Arnautovic, but Arno rejected the move on the grounds that he wanted to play for a bigger club.
