30 million pounds?? What? That's what Drogba's priced at.. how is Vieira estimated at that price as well.

Hhow could Vieira leave, he's their captain and vitally important... It would be devasting to the side, I think. Arsenal are building and getting better, you can see it and feel it, I don't know why Vieira, if true of course, would want to leave. By the way, Vieira said he would never join Real for the way they treated Makalele.

Plus, look at Arsenal's youth players, amazing!

I don't know how I'd take Vieira leaving...

As a die hard French League supporter I can tell you that I hate Arsenal and shed no tear over the prospect of them potentially going downhill. I don't think you'll find too many Arsenal lovers on this board.

    Erm, really?

The youth players that Wenger has bought have been pretty decent, but the other ones are just being released or loaned to lower league sides. They aren't as good as it seems, which is why he keeps buying new players.

There was a link in the News of the World (rubbish paper) here on sunday sayin Ledley King is being lined up to replace Campbell who is off to Juve (yeah right).

Spurs boss Jacques Santini came out and said today: ""If Arsene Wenger wants Ledley, he will have to give me Thierry Henry and Sol Campbell,"

"He will not be able to give me Patrick Vieira as well because he is going to sign for Real Madrid."

    Made me laugh :D

$$ is the reason Viera could leave Highbury. Plus, he's already won a premiership title.. and probably wants a new challenge.. by playing for one of the most prestigious clubs in the World.

Why is the fact that your "die hard French League supporter" of any consequence to whether or not you like Arsenal?

Being a French league supporter all the other teams in the other leagues I look at as the enemy(Arsenal included). I can watch their games but I don't really cheer for them unless someone is playing a team I hate. When A big English team poaches a good player from a big French league team that pisses me off and makes me an even bigger French league fan and makes me look even more forward to the big European battles. Chelsea and Arsenal just poached 2 good players from Marseille and that pisses me off because Marseille should be just as big a club as those other 2 if not more so because they have better fans and attendence and have money.

Such is the chain. Big clubs get players from littler clubs, it's always been that way. I don't know why you're crying about it.

French teams have to pay high employment taxes and their budget is monitered by the DNCG the other leagues dont have to go through that. If Marseille for example didnt have to pay high taxes and its budget wasnt monitered very closely they would be one of the richest clubs in the world.

Ladies, please try to avoid the personal attacks, or at least save them for the Germans.

    Thanks.

England may have lost the hundred years war, but they sure do get their revenge by signing the best French players ;)
