Exactly. Nothing will happen until about August 29 while Arsene waits for Liverpool to come around to his way of thinking, an agreement will be reached on Suarez for 45-50m at the last minute (we may sign 1-2 other nobodies) and Arsene will stand as defiantly as ever and say "WHAT?!?! YOU SAY I NEVER SPEND MONEEEE AND NOW THAT I SPEND ZE MONEEE YOU DON'T LIKE WHO I BUY!!! I CAN'T WIN!!!" At least that's my guess.
you know what? it's almost as if gazidis, wenger and co are deliberately taunting supporters. i'm honestly at the stage where i wish both of them, and kroenke, would just f**k off.
I dont like the guy either. But the 2nd he signs and if he plays well, you damn right I will support him. As will you and all of the others who are raising a stink about his potential signing. More than anything else, I dont like this idea that Arsenal are the moral guardians of English football when I am not sure if we ever were.
I honestly don't get this one. At least the "Have You Ever Seen Tottenham Win The League" one counts up from when they last won the title, the one you posted though just counts down to when the season starts. It would have been better if it counted how much time has passed since we last spent any money on transfers (Nacho Monreal, 31 January).
I'm annoyed that we're even linked with players. It's completely insulting to our policy of Non-transfers.
I think there's a part of Wenger that absolutely loves trolling the fans. He took a good club, made them even richer, put them in a beautiful new stadium and now essentially is content to say "Fcuk you. I built this team and I know what's best. You want a defender? I'm buying a striker. You want me to spend big money? I'll spend it on a player that half of the supporters hate. What are you gonna do? Nuthin. That's what. I'm making this club rich, the board bows at my feet and there's nothing you can do about it. Now shut up and support the club."
Strangely, or NOT strangely, that's very French of him. Ever been to a nice French restaurant? The chef doesn't give two ****s about how you want your food. He knows best. If you don't like it, then you are a Philistine not fit to consume his art. Sometimes, it's how I feel as a fan.
Of course I will cheer. But if he continues being the cancer that he is, dives a lot, bites people, causes turmoil in the locker-room, etc. you can best believe that every transfer window that comes I will be secretly (or not so secretly) wishing for him to be sold and a better replacement brought in. Regardless of the goals he ships in. Unless he nets 60-80 goals a season.. then maybe I'll weigh the pros and cons more heavily before determining if I want him outta' here. But this is all moot - we are signing no one this window! Duh.
(if there actually were truth to that) it's his grave...........no one is irrepaceable, as much as their ego might think they are. anyway, who could be arsed with that? life for everyone would be simpler to just do the damn job that needs done instead of expending so much fkn effort not doing it.
Panic buy countdown is on for Ba and Barton and I have no idea if they are even available. Like antifan said, these guys should just come out and say that the goal is to get to fourth every year with as little money as possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
I think we can all agree that the transfer window must be so bad if the main football article on a paper like the telegraph is "Liverpool staff given list of banned words".
That assumes Wenger will ever (ever) be fired, which I doubt, because he would NOT go gently into that good night. The same self-righteousness that drives Wenger's attitude about transfers will govern his exit. He knows he made this club what it is and doesn't doubt his actions.
Nothing new to report, Arsenal wants 10m we want him for 6 doesnt seem like either is budging. We already agreed a 2.5m salary with him its been reported.
To hell with that, let him go for 6. That way Wenger won't be tempted to play him. Of course, he'll be amazing for another club. Probably score 20 goals in Serie A.
Arsenal were on the wrong end of a Twitter embarrassment on Tuesday when they asked fans to tell them who they were most looking forward to watching in this weekend’s Emirates Cup. The emphatic answer – Gonzalo Higuain. http://metro.co.uk/2013/07/30/arsen...hey-most-want-to-see-at-emirates-cup-3904136/
