Precisely. This potential tactical experimentation is exactly what Germany needed right now. With the abundance of highly skilled players and a national team manager afraid and really, inept at doing so, this Bayern side can set a very promising precedent.

And people should chill about Kroos. Pep will love him. He is exactly the kind of player Pep will like and build his team around.

To be fair, a lot of us here are relaxed about Kroos. There are concerns here and there, but mostly it's the fans who don't really watch the Bundesliga or aren't even fans of Bayern that are the doomsayers and that other clubs should bid for Kroos/Shaqiri/Gustavo because they will be "unhappy".

days but in 1999 Munich tried to
win for 90 minutes but United
    did it in 2 minutes

To be honest, I'm really looking forward to see Gustavo this year. He'll probably have more competition for his position than others.

Did you asked how many years would take for them to catch us at 5 CL titles ??

I bet we'll win our 10th title before they win their 5th by the way ...

Too bad Madrid won 9... Sucks that they've won 6 when a majority of these top clubs today weren't even in the game..

Would've loved more comp back then :s

Now we've got a ways to go to catch up and best them ;)

Tell those guys hypocrites that they aren't even the biggest club in England, its Liverpool and they'll say 'History is useless, talk about the present'. I know a few classy ManU fans, and with the rest I don't waste my time anymore.

    How it feels :sneaky:

    Lets check ourselves briefly.
We know pep loves his midfielders.
Any system suited to Bayern provides 5 or 6 midfield positions.
    Currently we have
    Martinez
    Gustavo
    Schweini
    Thiago
    Kroos
    Goetze
    Mueller
    Shaqiri
    Ribery
    Robben

With peripherals who will be lucky to get loans because.. well it's obvious:
    Hojbjerg
    Weirauch
    Weiser
    Can

    So that's 10 contenders for those 5 positions. That's a deep well.
What a lot of people anticipate is experiments with Martinez in central defense and Goetze/Mueller up "front". That will probably work at least to even out playing time disparity, but I think it is safe to say we need no more midfielders.

Anything else? With Gomez gone, a striker maybe. Not if the above options work out. For me Rafinha and Contento are perhaps weak links and could maybe be replaced. Low priority.

    Good summer so far :geek:

Rafinha is boss and Contento isn't that bad, is he? I like his style of playing football.

Seriously, tell me one team, just one, that have backup fullbacks anywhere near as good as Rafinha and Contento ...

And is not like Lahm and Alaba miss a lot of games anyway ...

With their purchase of Carvajal, I'd say Real madrid..

I like Rafinha and Contento, but Real Madrid in form of Carvajal and Coentrao - I think it's quite better. I'm not complaining - Rafinha and Contento is quality.

Carvajal is quality ... Don't know about Coentrão though ... I think he's one of those fullbacks that didn't discovered he's a midfielder yet... I mean, his defensive quality is shitty to say the least ...

I believe carvajal was brought to be a starter wasn't he?

    They are going to lineup with;

    Carvajal varane Ramos Marcelo
They boosted their mid with young Spanish talent for once
They booster their attack with their youth spanish players

If this team actually plays like a team, they might be a team that makes the final...

But I think we will always edge Madrid, no matter when we have shit teams or ridiculous teams. (Like this year)
Our history with them keeps repeating itself ;)

I would now loan out Shaqiri and Can. Holjberg is still very young so he can train and play with the b team. The other 2 must start playing regularly though and they wont do that at Bayern this season.

Shaqiri loan -> Leverkusen/Schalke or maybe even to England (Arsenal, Liverpool or Man Utd most likely)

Can -> Mid table Bundesliga team.

Rummenigge: I've talked a lot with Rosell in the last few days and we found a fair compromise. We've found a fair deal, honouring the friendship between the clubs.
Thiago has been on our radar for a long time. He made a great impression at the Audi Cup two years ago.
I think the quality and depth of this team is fantastic and the fight for places is exactly what we intended. We want to avoid another trophy-less year like in 2002.
Our coach thinks very highly of Shaqiri. We have not plans to sell or loan him. We don't want to sell or loan anyone as of today.

Thiago: Thiago Alcantara won't fit on my shirt, so I'll just have Thiago.
I have felt very well at Barca, but it is a marvelous new challenge.
I've come here to help the team. I'll play wherever the coach wants me to play
I've talked to Guardiola at the end of last season. He told me to finish the U21 EURO first and then we talked again.
