Wow you're on fire here. Filibuster much?

First, you bit. That's the most important part. Gives me an idea of what kind of failure I'm dealing with. I'm pretty sure you'll bite again. Since you write like a 5th grader, I'm pretty sure you'll bite again.

What is the point of this thread really? All you do in the OP is talk about how difficult it is to win a WC, how its soooo much different from the Euro. You ask a question, and in the first sentence you say you don't think they can win a World Cup. You imply that Italy have been capable of winning every World Cup which is hilarious. You sound like a 12 year old kid who still sleeps with his raggedy Baggio tshirt under his pillow at night. You state the obvious and offer almost no new insight other than "'Can' and 'Will' are two different matters". Grow up kiddo.

At least you've learned that Portugal is on par with Russia and Japan, I'm sure it makes you happy knowing that the band of clowns you call the Azzurri are doing better than us. Now get a plate of nonna's pasta, a bag of taralles and go watch people walk down your street from your balcony.

That would have made sense, for a second it seems you thought your believes shape reality.

    Hahaha, I know.
They really are one of a kind Some
Of em... I should show the text messages I get about Buffon being god for making saves against Uruguay (but none when Spain drilled every shot on him )

The other night I was at a bar, this man was wearing a juve shirt so I mentioned juve to him.
He went on an epic non sensical rant full of chest thumping

    I heard such gems as
" juve is the only team to win every "confederations cup"
    And dont you forget it"
"Italy wont go anywhere with balotelli or el sharaway with his stupid hair"
" Figo couldn't cross or pass"
"Lui Costa (yes Lui, not Rui) couldn't pass"
"Paulo Sousa was amazing but was injured prone ,Portugal messed up in that euro because he was injured"

The rest was basically how x juve player was the greatest ever
And soemthing about benfica being the best Portuguese team because of 60s

    Italians , gotta love em

I'm not sure what the deal is with people thinking Russia and Japan are better than Portugal. Look at recent history. Could Russia or Japan beat Portugal during te World Cup? Sure, these guys are professionals and that's why they play the games. I'd favor Portugal in either situation, however.

You could make a case for Portugal to be from 10 to 15 but not top 7

Good rankings, no doubt Ecuador is very good doing well in qualifying and they easily smashed Portugal in a friendly earlier this year.

Spain is clearly the best, but many of their players are actually stolen from Puerto Rico. Rodriguez, Torres, Ramos? Dead give away.

Somalia is also very good and underrated. they are the Uruguay of Africa small country but talented and never-say-die attitude I think they were world champions in the 1940s when they had a unofficial non-FIFA sanctioned inter-war world cup.

I agree Germany is overrated, As for Portugal well

Portugal stinks, they do now even have one player I can think of that is world class or with an international reputation. usually all journeymen playing on low-tier clubs and average sides. this is one country where I cant even remember if they ever produced a ballon dor contender.

    More like

    1. Brasil (hosts)
    2. Argentina (they have messi plus are south american power wont be intimidated like spain were playing in brasil)
    3. Germany (mentally strongest team in europe and their young core group is maturing)
    4. Spain (getting old but still defending world champion)
    5. Uruguay (tough deep team from south america wont be intimidated)
    6. Holland (they are due-have the best world cup resume of any team that havent won it)
    7. Colombia (best qualifying campaing this side of argentina, also from south america so the crowd wont intimidate them like it will european sides)
    8. Ghana (made the quarterfinals with the youngest squad-those young players have matured add some young prodigies to the mix and they are as deep and as talented as any team in the world.
    9. France (in transition now but they have the star power mix in with young world class player0
    10. Ecuador (third best qualifying campaign from conmebol)
    11. Ivory Coast (Golden Generation last hurrah all are still in their prime)
    12. Italy(too many players of the 2010 WC debacle are still on the squad.. balotelli, shaarawy, verrati, desicglio, destro, insigne have proven they can offset that and make the difference
    13. Chile(have the strongest squad in years but will have to exorcise the brasil demons if they face them)
    14. Portugal(have cronaldo the third best player in the world behing neymar and messi but he will have to carry them because the squad is weak overall)
    15. Belgium (great youth and talented overrall but they are too green and will be the first time on the big stage for these players)

What about Israel? They embarassed Portugal at home and have the US military backing them as well, surely they have a case for the top 10.

People stop giving this guy airtime, he's the kind of guy who would try to convince the team of their dominance at half time when the opponent has been ass raping you the whole half.

Like I have said in earlier posts, portugal with the last squad selected will do ok at the World Cup, group stage knock out is not out of the question neither is a semi final berth, however there's an a lot more young guys with the opportunity to have a break out season and add to our depth in a very big way. We have already seen one player in Bruma make strong claims, Bento has already insinuated that's he will be considered for upcoming selections.

In other news Bocar Djumo may be on his way to the liga on a loan deal

Perfect, except I would put Burkino faso before Ghana and Australia before Portugal, they beat Germany in a friendly and Portugal lost to them.

Sorry buddy, Neymar is not better than Ronaldo. Keep on dreaming. Brazilian butthurt at its best because we have the 2nd best player in the world from a country of 10 million, whereas Neymar comes from a country of what 180 million.

    yeah

Ronaldo is clearly the second best player in the world by a wide margin but the number of people in the country has little to do with it. Also, neymar, while fantastic playing in brasil, has disappointed even with the national team playing outside of his country...so lets hold off calling him the third best player in the world.
