Hold on a second. Away jerseys are supposed to look classy?!? For the love of all that is holy - someone tell that to Warrior.
Nike going out on a good note with this strip. My only gripe is that our new Euro/Cup name and number set looks rather hideous. They went ultra modern with it and it looks particularly bad paired with a vintage looking kit.
I was about to type the socks were my favorite part. love them hoops. The club will get plenty of money from me for those socks, jersey, and I'll probably get another away N5 warm-up jacket in those colors too.
Love the kit will probably get the whole kit, shirt, shorts and socks. I already liked the kit but the socks were a nice surprise. I agree that the letter set for the cup games is bad
The kit is pretty amazing. Socks are an added bonus. I won't be buying it, but I do wonder what the new training kts will look like. The new red/navy/white ones that the boys are wearing in training isn't half-bad.
Who else is a little distracted by the new Arsenal/Euro font? My first reaction was hate but I have warmed up some. Will not be ordering it if I get a name.
Didn't pay attention to the lettering with the slideshow on the official site, but wow that is terrible.
Many of you are purchasing the socks, or have in the past... When do you use them? Are you all playing football in them? (PS. This wasn't supposed to be a dirty question about tube socks)
I play in them (the white ones from this season) but my league isn't strict about what we wear - over 35 geezers. However, these blue and yellow hooped socks may be another story - they'll clash with pretty much everything. This season my shirt is baby blue and shorts are black.
I play and coach in them. They are usually a lot nicer than the regular Nike and Adidas soccer socks. I tore my ACL in the gold and blue away socks from Arsenal's 08/09 season.
lol^ pew pew Juve The British boys are doing all the marketing. I wonder if the Spanish Armada have a shoot or the Germans.
Edit: I found them on Arsenal Direct, which brings me to my next question. For those of you in the US, do you recommend buying from Arsenal Direct, or from Arsenal USA?
I play in them too. I usually grab club socks because the generic Nike/Adidas ones just lose their elasticity way faster. It's usually a $5-$6 price difference here but for the extended amount of time they last, I feel it's worth the outlay.
That's my only complaint. If they had used last season's cup font and switched it to blue, that would've been amazing. That being said, between the shirt, socks and warmup jacket, they're getting all my money.
Arsenal direct for sure. Arsenal USA is just an offshoot of world soccer shop. Shipping might be bit more but you get it earlier and they usually have good freebies.
