we played 69 games last season and 61 the season before that I think there are plenty of minutes to keep at least 20 players happy and considering the majority of the squad does not return until Monday- I am not sure how many promises have been made so far
Just accept it fern, some people are privy to every conversation our club has and know everything that has been said to every member of our squad. Let it go with your "reasonable facts" already.
Kakuta allegedly in Holland to sort out his loan move to Vitesse PVA allegedly following suit talk of a PL loan for Kalas
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...ootball-news+(Daily+Express+::+Football+Feed) 15 mil for DeRossi not sure about that
Gotta say I thought Kakuta will be kept here while being open to PVA loan for one more year. But AS signing put a block to that.
Not to sound ungrateful but he cant be our only midfield signing this preseason. By the looks of it the lad has talent but I am just not sure how many boxes this purchase ticks.
20 players with a lot of minutes is actually pretty typical at big clubs. There are a lot of games, especially in England which has an extra cup competition (the Carling Cup) that Jose always took seriously.
My guess is that he will be our only purchase unless we buy someone like DeRossi. With Essien back, hard to make sense of the numbers otherwise with Mikel, Ramires and Lampard already here.
Someone on the CFC/Reddit did an excellent summary of Ginkel http://www.reddit.com/r/chelseafc/comments/1hmg2t/new_signing_marco_van_ginkel_profile/
Looks like Cavani will end up with PSG, and AS is reporting that Chelsea are very close to bringing in Luis Suarez for 40 million. http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2013/07/04/internacional/1372965115_547998.html
Just out of curiosity, what ever happened to the Felliani to Chelsea rumors? That was the whole reason we learned that he had a buy out clause, that Chelsea were going to trigger it during the winter transfer?
I wouldn't go as far as cr7rossi, but I have significant doubts about Fellaini being a good fit for a better team. There's a reason why Belgium plays a pivot of Dembele and Witsel over him.
According to Schurrle's father, we paid around 17m euros for him which is about £14m, also Van ginkel may be closer to £3m or £4m than the £9m publicised. just shows how inflated the press think our prices for players are, they don't seem to do it when other clubs get similar players in. I guess that's just our luck. I am still hoping for a new CB and hopefully a new striker, I like Torres a little but I would rather see him move on to pastures new. I think Ba could move as well which would leave space for another striker or possibly even two (although highly unlikely) I would have to say that if we got Suarez we would become even more hated in the country as he is a massive arse who even some Liverpool fans are starting to dislike, he may be a great footballer but we already have some of them, also he would be banned for like 8 games before he could play a game. Also I am still not sold on Rooney, he has been great for Man Utd no doubt but I jst can't see him playing for Jose, he would ask for too much cash as well seeing is he is on £230k+ a week at United, our highest paid players are Torres and JT who get less than that. Are we really saying that our captain and £50m man get paid less than Shrek, which would also change our wage structure back up to huge amounts again after we reduced it significantly not too long ago, for a reason.
... Suarez? lol wut? Silliest rumor I think I've heard all summer. After all his smack talk of the English press and blaming them for his poor image, if he's moving anywhere this summer, it makes zero sense to come here
Mostly down to those two having a better positional sense and more composure on the ball. I'd agree that he would not be a real improvement at many top clubs, but not all of them. e.g. the Arsenal fans who frown at the mere suggestion of him joining him live in the land of self-delusion.
So I have been reading up a bit on the Van Ginkel transfer in the Dutch media. It's rather funny to see them marginalizing KDB when he is certainly a better player than Van Ginkel. They take it as a given that KDB will be lower down the pecking order.
Ba being linked with a move to Anzhi per the Times and Sam Walker looks to be heading to Colchester per CY Twitter
