This. Ade can be great when he wants to (or something), but we can't afford to bank on him considering his penchant for disappearing for large parts of the season.

For me, whether we should keep Defoe or Ade, depends on what type of strikers we get in.
When it comes to it, it isn't necessarily our choice to make, as we have to look at what bids that come in for them.

Besiktas have made a 5 mil euro offer for Adebayor. Apparently his wage demands were higher than expected (lol) but they're confident that they can get the wages up there between sponsorship/s and low tax rates.

Villa would be a nice luxury, but Benteke should be the priority IMO. Mind you I would love to have both. Play with both of them up top with Bale in the hole behind them, and a three man midfield behind that. Then our fullbacks can do what they're good at and provide some width.
