@DoronSalomon - Ekangamene, James, Thorpe, Vermijl and Wootton give new deals. @DoronSalomon - Barmby, Grimshaw, Love, Pearson, Rothwell, Rudge and Weir offered pro contracts @DoronSalomon - Dalley, McNair, Rowley and Sutherland have had their scholarships extended by an extra year.
Whew. I was sweating bullets there for a bit. Thought I might have to watch him again this coming season. Goodbye run slow, kick ball medium.
First-year scholars Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (Defender) Ruairi Croskery (Forward) George Dorrington (Goalkeeper) Dean Henderson (Goalkeeper) Scott McTominay (Midfielder) Demetri Mitchell (Winger) Devonte Redmond (Forward) Joe Riley (Midfielder) Jordan Thompson (Midfielder) Oliver Rathbone - U17 Student (Midfielder) http://www.manutd.com/en/Players-An...-year-intake-2012-2013-manchester-united.aspx
Mitchell is the guy correct? What happened to Rhain Davis by the way, I tried to look him up but only getting stuff from two years ago.
Cheers. Don't know them. I know Mitchell had a blinder in the Munich tournament a year or two back. I gotta check out these two lads. Exciting 3 coming in.
----------------Henderson/Pereira----------------- McConnell Ioannou Borthwick-Jackson Evans ------------------Harrop-----Goss------------------- -----------Willock A Pereira Mitchell-------------- --------------------Wilson---------------------------- Should look like something like this right now for the u18's depending on other signings.
Yeah, they are too old for the U18's now. Whether they break into the U21's straightaway depends on who else stays/goes though. There was talk of United entering the U19 UEFA CL this time, which would give those stuck in between game time.
Thank god. I don't think I would've been able to stomach Daehli being shunted out to the left for another game. *waits for Warren Joyce to shunt Daehli out to the left this season*
I wouldn't be so quick to be critical of the shunting left. Being challenged to play literally outside of your comfort zone whether spatially or otherwise is important. For very talented kids, it is important because they will eventually (we hope) play at the highest level (we're talking DII American college like yours truly) where things will often not go their way. Then there are of course the skills that they can learn in a different position. These next two years are not about results, they are about building.
Johnny Quid @JulyTeeMUFC 3h The VG article doesn't say that Dæhli wants out. It simply states that United are eager to give him playing time. Loan deal most likely. Hopefully this is true rather than a permanent deal. Playing at Molde under Ole for a season will develop him further.
Sounds good to me. I'd like us to keep a relationship with Ole even under Moyes if situations avail themselves that would be good for both parties.
@DoronSalomon - Latest update on Daehli from Norwegian press: negotiations yesterday; medical today; and almost certainly a permanent move now talk of a "buy back" clause and all that but if the press it to be believed why sell and not just loan? surely he can't be that disillusioned with playing time at this young of an age?
