Mystery group..You mean Marcelo? Hardly a mystery if so, billionaire, lives in Miami, loves futbol..own a team in Bolivia He will hardly be involved because he could make a profit.
So you're presupposing something that hasn't happened yet, and that there's no indication will happen in order to make an irrelevant point? Really?
My family has given them nearly $20,000 over a decade just to visit WDW...and that doesn't factor in any of the merchandise/movies/electronics/etc. that we purchase the rest of the year.
I tend to agree. I've seen a habit in some English circles of throwing that term around as an all-purpose insult for anything American that they don't like. Using it as a synonym for 'small time' seems to be the most absurd outcropping of that one will see. As to Beckham, it's not exactly in his interest to rush in. The stock option he has doesn't seem to be expiring any time soon, and MLS franchises don't seem to be going down in value, so it only makes sense for Beckham to wait for the best moment to cash in on it. I don't think the league has to 'put him off.'
Most definitely. Although I doubt it'll go for $100m given the Chivas saga and how ignored the Clippers are in the city.
Yeah, I don't know what they'd get, just depends on on how much optimism there is at the time. But I have said before, and I still believe, that if Chivas were to move, the end game would still eventually include a second team in LA.
Perspective. Disney company had a revenue 131.9 times greater than ManU. So they are bigger than the top four leagues put together.
well I was wondering about it because Garber is tired of places not getting soccer specific stadiums in time. he is also very vocal about the struggles. san jose already went through this. Since DC has failed and we have heard no news of a possible stadium since I am wondering if Orlando City mayor has been offered a chance to be Orlando City United.
First off, he wasn't tired of not getting a soccer specific stadium when he admitted Vancouver, let alone NYCFC. DC's stadium search has been put on hold while their owners try to purchase Inter. Once that deal is done (or not), the stadium search will continue. If their owner is trying to purchase Inter, you know he has money. I think they will eventually succeed in building a stadium, the ownership came in knowing that was priority #1 with this team and they wouldn't buy it without being confident of getting a deal done in the first place.
You have an extremely rudimentary understanding of the situation. DC United will not be relocating to Orlando.
Any talk of DC United moving to Baltimore I've always thought was just a negotiating ploy to get DC to work harder to help them get a stadium. From what I've seen, DC's efforts are now focused on finding a location within the district (though if they eventually settled on a DC suburb in Virginia or Maryland I wouldn't call that relocating.)
