Tuesday was a busy day for the Highlander. From his office in Chicago, Mike called Holger Osieck about 60-ish minutes in during Australia's match with Iraq and told him, "Hey, Holger, this is Mike Magee. I need you to bring in my right-hand man. Sub out the Red Bull who scored on my old team earlier this year because he sucks major ass. Go do it, or I'm calling Frank to tell him to sack you." With that, Holger subbed in Jesus Christ, under the guise of Josh Kennedy, to give the Roos a return to the World Cup Finals. Jesus threw himself to the heavens, in adoration of his father, God the Magee. After a power nap, he teleported to Rio Tinto Stadium to give one of his disciples, Josmerus Volmius Altidorius of Alkmaar, bread and wine to eat and drink. Its awesome power was activated in the second half as the USA defeated Honduras 1-0. Pleased with the results, Mike retired to his quarters in Chicago and rested. He would be needed for the Fire's next match the following day.
They don't call him the Highlander for nothing... He scores again! @MLS: #CHIvCOL: Mike Magee converts from the penalty spot to level the match. ChicagoFire 1-1 @ColoradoRapids. Chat: http://t.co/QQ6bID74FH
Rogers showed a little better today, but what he gives us in width clearly isn't helping in the goal scoring department. Apparently Magee took all our goals with him...
After 5 games, MaGee 5 goals, 1 assist And leads Chicago to a four game unbeaten run. Rogers....not so much
Thank you LA, seriously. You guys have had some tough times after Magee left but I'm sure your season will eventually turn around. LA has lots of talent and we appreciate the charitable donation with Magee. The man is awesome, not just a goal machine but a born leader that motivates his team and is a smart player. Chicago born, Chicago raised and now Chicago praised! From super sub to super star, we love Magee something awful here!
You forgot to mention that he's also still young and could easily have 8-9 more seasons left in him with his style of play. Gotta get that final knife twist in there. Damn I hate that trade.
It took at least three years before the horror of that trade became fully clear to the Red Sox fans [and team]. So, you have to ask yourselves: "What will 2016 be like?"
Trades are always a gamble, but this is looking like it might challenge the Hernandez for Franchino, Mathis & Meyer for the worst trade in Galaxy history.
