Bruno fernandes video when he was playing for the primavera side.

Hopefully turn out for the under 19s, Italian friend of mine who's a udinese fan sent me this link, he seems to be under the impression the transfer from novarra for 2.5m euros is complete and was locked completed in april

IMO the squad is missing a central midfield player with these characteristics, which is why I still don't understand why JC texeira wasn't included. Joao Mario and Andre Gomes would provide the perfect platform for the attacking players to produce moments of quality which they are capable of. Same problem in the the 'A' side not creative outlet from the centre of the park and please don't say that Toze is that player.

I concur, still can't fathom how Joao Carlos wasn't called.....I don't understand the thinking of Portugals federation sometimes.

Bruno Fernandes is another glaring example. FFS Italy right now has a number of players starting in their u21's in the final vs Spain that played second division soccer, the experience really helps players at that age. Bruno Fernandes should have either been at the U20's (could play left mid or playmaker) or atleast the U19's

JC Texeira, Raphael Guerreiro, Marcos Lopes, Bruno Fernandes, Frederico Vernancio, Joao Lucas In
Ricardo Alves, Mica Pinto, Dabo, Toze, Tiago Ferreira, Ivan Cavaleiro Out

I would love to know what pressure the federation is under to pick a certain amount of players from certain clubs, I assume its certainly a factor.

Alright people tournament time. From what we saw agaisnt the states More than likely the starting lineup will be

    -------------------Sa---------------
    -----------Ferreira--Ie----------
    Cancelo--------Alves--------Kiko
    --------Gomes-------Mario---------
    Bruma--------Aladje-------Ricardo

I just personally believe that the options available to us we should move cancelo to left full back,
Esgaio to right back, Ilori replace ferreira and even though Ca looks short of a gallop, Borges should put him in so he can regain his fitness and we will see the benefits come the knock out stages. Ricardo Alves selection is baffling.

I don't know if you have access to ESPN3.com, but it'll be on there.

As far as the lineup, The Special One, there is no way Ilori doesn't start. He's the first guy you put in the starting 11, to me. I wouldn't read too much into that friendly against the U.S.

Nope. Canada as you know has an duopoly with Rogers and Bell controlling all media, particularly sports. These organizations are run by cottage country specials who love hockey, golf and curling (in that order). Your best bet is do as I do and stream either via Wiziwig.tv or FirstRow1:

    OR

    Hope this helps.

You were right on with your prediction except Mika starts ahead of Kiko.
Fifa.com has the official line-up and Ilori is on the bench, which is laughable really.
Tiago Ferreira has been a train wreck in recent friendlies and at the Toulon tournament while Ilori's been great for club and country....baffling really.

PORTUGAL: José Sá; João Cancelo, Tiago Ferreira, Edgar Ié e Mica; João Mário, Ricardo Alves e André Gomes; Ricardo, Aladje e Bruma.

Starting Ferreira instead of Ilori is stupid as stupid gets. Ilori is by far the best CB we have, and I would argue our best player period.

Esgaio on the bench is also a joke. I dislike Ricardo's game, especially to opposite Bruma.

Needless to say, I'd have a much different starting 11...Still a strong squad though.

After watching Spain and their under-21 squad, we leave a lot to be desired. I'll be watching the Spain under-20 game later to get some inspiration.

Andre Gomes stinks. I've never seen a young player so cool on the ball, and such a poor passer despite that.

This is one of the poorest Portuguese sides I've seen in recent memory. They can barely string 2 passes together, Bruma is okay but not a team player.

His passing has been absolutely horrendous but it isn't as if his teammates are opening up for him.

They're playing with no "garra" at all, very frustrating to watch. I've seen more desire to win by 8 year olds playing rec soccer. Really deplorable.

Bruma with the goal. This side has plenty of talent. They're in the top 4 favorites to win the tournament for a reason but they need to up the tempo. Hopefully the goal takes some pressure off them.

Undeserved lead, we are playing shit. No sharpness, no aggression. Ie and Bruma have been the only source of happiness so far. You know Portugal is playing shit when Ferreira looks one of your better players

Nigeria has been the better side, Portugal in the end is coming alive and looks comfortable up by 2 goals at the moment.
