You're so right! So what if Artur let in some frangos in Big games!! It's all JJ's fault! He should have never allowed Artur to let in those frangos! Epic fail JJ!!!
In all fairness, Pacos wouldn't stand a chance in the CL even if Mourinho and Alex Ferguson were the joint coaches and signed Messi. Pacos had a fluke of a season and will sell everyone and pick up a bunch of mercenary scabs to make it look like they tried their best to replace the talent that left and will be relegated next season.
Bro JJ isn't faultless, even though LPV wants you to believe otherwise. I still can't stand that guy. Once in a while gotta take off the rose colored glasses
ManUtd put 10 million price tag on Nani. If Benfica sell Salvio or Gaitan, Benfica should buy Nani. http://www.ojogo.pt/Internacional/Portugueses/interior.aspx?content_id=3266225
If you've read any of my previous posts you'd know I never said he was faultless. I'm just sick of everyone here bashing him like everything is his fault. LFV has been in charge for what 10 yrs now and he has how many league titles to his name...2!!!!! He's the longest running president in Benfica's history. Seven different coaches under his reign. He's been re-elected 3 times yet only has 2 league titles to his name. A bunch of hypocrites....a lot of Benfica fan's are. They'll say "how dare we reward a coach for losing" and then they'll turn around and head to the polls and reward a President that keeps on losing. Don't get me wrong, I credit LFV for getting this team back on the right track after the Vale e Azevedo/Vilarinho debacle and I believe he's a great businessman but let's call a spade a spade here. 2 titles in 10 years.....it's time for new ownership.
Preaching to the choir about LFV. Me being upset JJ is retained and extended falls squarely on LFV shoulders. But to say Artur's mistakes were JJs fault because he let a soft goal in is crazy. It is JJs fault that the team wasn't more amped to play in taca final against an easy opponent. Soft goal? Sure. Artur's fault? Sure. But not his fault Benfica didn't score 3-4 goals before that point.
Matheus Doria linked to Benfica. 18 year old brazilian central defender. http://www.record.xl.pt/Futebol/Nacional/1a_liga/Benfica/interior.aspx?content_id=827323 Eliseu WANTS to play for Benfica. Says Malaga let him leave last season to Benfica, but Pellegrini was the one that said no. Now Pellegrini isn't there so he's going to try and leave. http://www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/Benfica/interior.aspx?content_id=3267238
Apparently Benfica is interested in 17 year old Brazilian LB Abner. http://futebolbrasil.iol.pt/noticias/benfica-interesse-abner/1459663-1192.html
Arouca, newly promoted Portuguese team, wants Jara and Urreta on loan. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=408467 And rumor has Miguel Rosa loaned to Belenenses. Was really hoping JJ would give him a shot, he was voted the #1 player in the 2nd division with a ton of goals scored.
"Cardozo is more likely to stay than leave" says his agent. http://www.record.xl.pt/Futebol/Nacional/1a_liga/Benfica/interior.aspx?content_id=827500 Unbelievable. This guy is never going to leave Benfica. Specilation and runors 3-4 years in a row and nothing. Hope he's happy on the bench because Benfica didn't pay 10 million for Markovic to be a sub.
You know, I really don't understand you Benfica fans. Cardozo has been your top scorer since he joined Benfica and still you guys want him gone. He has given everything for your club and you guys wouldn't even have come close to having the year you had last year if it wasn't for him. Never seen such a bunch of ungrateful fans, come to Porto Cardozo and you will be appreciated! PS I never seen a club thst trys to keep away good players and coaches like it was the plague like Benfica does conitnually ex. Mourinho, Maniche, Bela Gutmann, C.Rodriguez etc I can go on and on. Must be in the genes or something, unbelievanle, that does explain alot though (lack of succes) PS I'm not trolling just my 2 cents
Great player but he doesn't have the "it" factor which is why he has been at Benfica as long as he has.
I'm good with Cardozo staying. There's worse things than a guy that doesn't want to leave. Luisao has been here forever and it's not like he's a world beater
Call me old fashion, but when one of your players pushes and humiliates the coach on national television, I don't care how many goals the dick scores, but he needs to go.
Cardozo staying means less playing time for players like Nelson Oliveira, Rodrigo and possibly Markovic. Who the hell wants a player who pushes the coach around, causes tension, and punches the sideline seats when he's subbed off? Plus he just hit 30 and his value isn't increasing. Any offer of 10 million should be accepted by Benfica. We've already had 2 offers of 12 million. LFV is being unrealistic asking 15m for a 30 year old. I want to see Lima the starting striker with Rodrigo and Markovic rotating. Doubt Nelson stays but he needs to develop in Portugal under a coach like JJ.
Kevin Prince Boateng and Taiwo linked to Benfica. Would be huge signings. http://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=408640
For the record, I would have done more than push JJ, Cardozo knows how crap JJ is when it comes to crunch time and he was SICK of losing the 3 finals in a ROW. I felt sorry for Cardozo when I seen that and felt his anger. Because he is 30 and needs to go isn't a good argument because you guys wanted him gone for years now. Cardozo >>>>>>>>Rodrigo.
Nelo is gonna get loaned out because he's Portuguese. If rodrigo and markovic want to play and Cardozo stays, then outperform him. Simple as that. A big strong forward who holds the ball well and is killer on set pieces has a fit on this team.
Ruben Amorim and Carlos Martins for sale. http://www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/Benfica/interior.aspx?content_id=3269099 Nolito no in JJ's plan for the new season. Really like Nolito and his style of play. If Gaitan of Salvio is sold, It would be a mistake to sell him. http://www.ojogo.pt/Futebol/1a_liga/Benfica/interior.aspx?content_id=3269044
26 year old Canadian-Portuguese center back, Steven Vitoria sign a 4 year contract with Benfica. http://www.record.xl.pt/Futebol/Nacional/1a_liga/Benfica/interior.aspx?content_id=827875
