I can't believe nobody has given you grief for playing in a United shirt at Old Trafford...when you're a Liverpool fan!!! :)

nice Chrome and Limes in your profile pic - did you get the tag with them?

also must have been phenomenal playing on the legendary pitch that Ronaldo scored his Hat-trick in wearing those Vapor 1's (although he wore black/blue in that 2nd leg)

what is it like playing in them - does the shiny chrome distract your game? ;)

Yeah i've got a few pairs of Chrome/Lime, a new pair in each soleplate FG, SG and HG all with bag and tag, then the FG pair have the box too.
I have some used ones 3 FG and 1 SG. Luckily one of the FG is my size! I did think i might be one of very few people to play at OT wearing Chrome/Limes and maybe the only one to wear 98 mercurials!

They were really nice to play in even though it was a bit slick on the surface, the pitch was perfect for the soleplate.

I've still got mine - they are such a classic looking boot, I might find a wooden floor, pop on some Nike socks and take a picture too! :)

I might go to a church .... or a school hall?

Puma socks ... poor show! I've got the black & white in those too and they looked just as good. Why do boot companies have to tinker with something that works so well? Although saying that, i do really like the design of the current model and they've had some great colourways.

1017232_10152004819389676_465379937_n.jpg Luckily my hall floor is mock wood - lol I loved everything about this boot but did think that the studs were a tad too long for a FG boot. Mine are Legends 1s btw.

I'm thinking of getting a pair of Vapor IX ID. My idea was to get the upper in Dimpled Metallic "pewter", and also chose pewter for the nike swoosh for a cleaner look but how would it look in reality?
I remember someone posted pictures of a vapor id dimpled / peweter and it looked almost chrome.

No idea just had the urge!! :)

The Pewter does look chrome if thats the ones that, that other guy posted on here. Just not quite as mirrored. The one thing id say about that upper if it is like the Chromes is it isnt the best upper to play in, wet conditions. No matter how good your first touch is the ball just zips off them.

Good thing I'm in Southern Cali! Any chance finding that picture? I wasn't able to =/
Also, since the swoosh is the same color as the upper, would it still be visible?

I think the picture might have been in the old nike thread which is now closed, you can still look in it though. I think we the swoosh you would have an outline which would only be visible close up. Nike probably wouldn't allow you to just remove the swoosh altogether my making it the same colour as the upper.

Picked up a pair of F50 leather's today at a local shop having a sale.

Took them in the shower and went for light jog afterwards, much more comfortable. So far i am pretty impressed, having owned the original F50, this is a pretty big leap in terms of comfort and materials.

How does the leather hold up on the F50s? Just thinking the water treatment is great, but it was used when boots were stitched together and not held together by glue which can seperate from the upper.

the stripes don't like huge pieces of fabric stitched on the sides, or is it the angle?
