I think we've got 16 - 17 total players available? That includes the 3 keepers. Injury list is rather long.... :/ Will we see Salazar for this one? I think his graduation should be before the game...
We are actually one short of a full squad IF (big if) the injuries from this weekend persist. *You could put both GK on the bench to make it 18. -------------Ching----JJ------------ Driver---Creavalle---Rico-----Ownby Ashe----Arena---Boswell-----Sarkodie ------------------Deric----------------- Bench: Marscheider, Camargo, Bruin, Chabala, Dixon, Salazar, Hall*
Actually Hall gone for USMNT duty starting yesterday. EDIT: nevermind, I think he is supposed to be back by this game.
if you need to complete the 18 then all you have to do is pick a player that's slightly dinged and that you haven't any intention to play whatsoever.
I will point out again in this thread that winning this game, even though it has plenty of recovery time before and after it, has dire consequences two weeks later. The next round will give us 3 games in 7 days again. Use your own judgement on how Kinnear handles that prospect.
I think Kinnear goes fields the best squad he can for the sake of experience. It's the only game he has to work with for several weeks. Now, assuming that the Orange advance (knock on wood, throw salt over your shoulder, etc.), in the next round, he'll field a shit/ reserve/ academy/ Star of Hope rejects squad for the sake of fielding a team, and that is all.
Marcus Storey is around town isn't he. I mean he actually played in that 3-0 Open Cup win over Dallas at Carl Lewis Field there in August of '06. That was the only real minutes I recall our other local youngster getting that first season.
I remember talking to Marcus about living in Sugarland. And how he was 30 minutes from East Bernard but had ever heard of it.
I might make the half-day trip up there assuming I don't work the next morning. Leave at 1:30pm. Get there by 6 or 7pm. Game at 8pm. Game over ~10pm. Back home ~2am.
Him and Stuie were both Elkins guys there in SL/Mo. City. Well Stu went to Auty but that's where he was living. Eric Quill, long time MLS player and old teammate in Tampa with our Dom, he went to Elkins. So basically one high school in our Greater Houston Area has churned out 3 MLS caliber players. One playing in a World Cup for the U.S.
The quarterfinal pairings are out. The winner of Dallas/Houston will host the winner of Portland/Tampa Bay.
What a difference having a stadium makes. In years past we would had a midweek away game that would of taxed the players. I think the good turnout against FC Tucson convinced the FO that there's a demand for these games (at least to break even). First things first though: Dallas owes us for those 2 points we lost against them.
According to Darrell Lovell (you know, a reporter) Cummings returned to practice and Arena was hurt today. Moffat and Barnes apparently not hurt as bad as feared
i'm gonna start calling the so called "chron reporter" that i keep hearing about the "chron yeti". cousin of mexican yeti. except they don't throw piss at you and boo the national anthem, it's chardonay and passive agressive comments
