Does MLS have a rule stating that Clubs can no infringe on eachother's markets? I could swear this came up several years ago when there was discussion about putting another team/stadium in South Jersey and people talked about such infringment (please correct me if I am not remembering correctly).

If this is the case, what will happen to Red Bull marketing on say Long Island or Queens with the establishment of NYCFC? There are clubs out on LI that host Red Bull summer camps. Does that mean Red Bulls would no longer be allowed to do any marketing in LI/Queens area??

If there is, wouldn't it be on the new team entering the market to cater their efforts instead of the existing team?

I seriously doubt such a rule exists. I mean, how would it pertain to LA? Only Chivas in the spanish neighborhoods? Nah, no rule.
