The thing about that is Scocco has been in excellent form and if there's ever a time for him to be called-up, it would be now. I guess it all depends on him and if the club would release him, like you said.

Lisandro Lopez has played his last game for Lyon. He had some tears in his eyes when he was substituted off. Rumors have him going to Monaco.

He's a heck of a player, but I guess his reported attitude problems or his reputation destroyed his NT career.

Know it's not NT news but Osvaldo was kicked off the Italian NT for expressing his feelings about management at Roma. Had he ever been called up to us, I doubt he would've made it not on talent because he is a talented player but he has a horrible attitude. At times it has more to do with attitude than talent because Tevez would be called up every single time if it was based on talent.

Now I wanna see Osvaldo transform into an Argentine again, haha.

    Karma hurts, don't it?

Intersting article on Higuain and RM

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-gonzalo-higuain-denied-a-chance-at-greatness

The next season with the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, the world’s most expensive footballer ever, and the club’s de-facto No. 9 (literally), Higuaín (27) outscored the Portuguese (26) in league play, despite Ronaldo taking 113 more shots.

Have you read Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez’s recent comments about Ronaldo?
“We're going to do everything at our hand to make him happy,” said Pérez (via The Telegraph), who plans on making the Portuguese the highest paid player in the world.

Juanjo Brau (physio): "Leo is recovering good, and he'll be able to play the World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Ecuador."

As happy as I am to hear that Messi's better, I still don't think he should start against Colombia. Have him come in like at the 60th minute and start Lamela. Better safe than sorry.

I hope he doesn't start. I want to see how this team shapes up without.

He was injured around on May 12th, by the time the game kicks off it should right around 25 days since he played in a competitive game, I think he should be fine. These are our 2 most difficult games in the qualifiers, we will see how ready we are. Now that worthless game vs Guatemala, he could play for 10 minutes and get out. He's going to have most of June and July to relax. I believe it was also a FCB physio who administered the test, and clubs are really reluctant to release(not that it would've mattered here) players when they are not fully fit, or cast doubt on why he was called up. It takes 2-3 weeks for it to fully heal, I think it may of.

Seems, Barca doesn't want him to play.
Vilanova said: "No, Messi won't be playing tomorrow. He doesn't have the green light from the doctors.
"If he can play for Argentina then he will get to play, but obviously we don't want to take any risks with him. We don't want him to get injured again."

Ecuador and Colombia are #2 and #3 on the table, so even a draw against both of them will not cost us. Chile in #4 only has 15 points, so while this 2 games will be the toughest games left, mathematically we only need a draw to stay save. So Messi isnt a must play in my opinion, at least not a must for full minutes. If Uruguay #6 beat Venezuela #5 (which is a must at this point), then it will benifit us even more in order to secure top 4 finish. Thanks to our away win against Chile and Colombia and away draw against Bolivia and Peru. Otherwise these 2 games will be a daunting task.

Higuain ended his period in Real Madrid with class. He was captain and scored a goal in his last game there. In total 121 goals in 263 games, many of them as subs. Grande pipita!

If Messi is not fully healthy, then he needs to think with his brain instead of his heart, if we have to do without him then so be it. You do not want this type of injury to continue, hamstrings are a pain and takes time to fully heal. So if there are conflicting reports that he is cleared or not cleared then it is likely he is not cleared, so maybe it is for the best he rests. Even bringing him on as a sub could be a risk, I recall he wasn't fully fit for a game and came out and got injured this season.

It's a shame Pipita never got the full respect he deserved at Madrid. He carries himself with great respect on and off the pitch.

Even though he's a gallina, I have the utmost respect for Pipipa and his talent. All credit goes to him for not causing trouble at Madrid. He was never given the optimal opportunity to succeed, but he still managed to carve out a very good stint there. And to give the devil his due, Kudos to Mourinho for making him the skipper. That is class, from someone who doesn't always show it.
You're hearing it here first. If Pipita finalizes a move to Juve, and has at least 50 appearances next season, he will score at least 32 goals. Mark my words!

Yeah, it's difficult for me to like a guy who played at River and at Real Madrid, but how can anybody not like Pipita? I remember he was getting grief at a young age for not deciding whether to play for Argentina or France, and yet he chose Argentina and he always handled himself with class. Plus, he's been a perfect compliment to Messi in the NT. I hope he finds the right situation and thrives as he's capable of.

122 goals + 46 assist. If you want to look at his real potential, take a look at his National team scoring record, that's when he played mostly full minutes and as a starter. 20 goals + 9 assist in 32 games. Its kinda annoying for me when people criticize him for not being good enough as a striker.

Pipita is a legend. I can't wait to see him
Back at the club he loves...

It's so sad but the Madrid supporters are so stupid.... It was his goal that gave them liga 2007, and in 2007-2008 he was the figura.

    Madrid cabron salud al campeon

(I'm no Barça fan but I know how they disrespected Gonzalo and that's why I'll disrespect Madrid

Golazo by Banega. Despite Higuain scoring, if you look at the celebration, there was none. He just looked like he didn't want to be there. Di Maria was the first to come to congratulate him. He deserves much better.

Ever teases with moments of brilliance like that from time to time. This dude has it in him to produce greatness on a weekly basis. It's frustrating that he hasn't put it all together better by now.
Pure class, that goal! Goal of the year contender, in my book.

He already won League and copa del rey win RM and scoring more than 120 goals, that's good enough, time to move on. Still only 25 after all these years.
