So it looks like Bianchi will go back to the more conservative 4-4-1-1 that he used against Corinthians in Brazil. That means Sanchez Miño will take the place of Martinez. The other change, forced by the red card to Burdisso, is the inclusion of Chiqui Perez in central defense. Hopefully this substitution won't disrupt a back four that's played very well together.

    Probable starting lineup:

Are you familiar with Miami? Any suggestions for where I could watch the game? Should I just head to Normandy Isle?

You are in Miami right now? If so you might give a call to a place on Collins Avenue called Buenos Aires Bakery. The guy that owns it is a Cuervo but in the past he has shown Copa matches. Odds are that you hit any Spanish speaking bar and you'll be in luck. My viejo lives down there and I've watched matches at several cigar shops/lounges in and around Little Havana. Not really a place to watch a game but if you want good food check out Las Vacas Gordas off of Normandy also in Miami Beach.

1st half over. Newells definitely had the better of the play, but our defense has held up so far. I noticed that unlike against Corinthians when the defensive pressure was turned up to max from the very beginning, Boca is pressuring but is keeping a little bit in the tank to finish the match.
Very few precious opportunities on offense, but not a complete zero. Maybe set pieces might be our best shot to score. When the chance comes, we can't afford to miss.

    Vamos Boca!!!! Hay que ganar!!!

Good luck to Newell's in the tournament. It just wasn't our night.

So far the Bianchi experiment has flopped big time. We need changes. QUICK.

A dreadful year ends in heart-breaking fashion. Qualification was there for the taking, but this whole sequence starting with Blandi missing ultimately meant disaster. I thought Boca was very unlucky in the shootout. Newells had 2 balls go in that made contact with the frame, and another that Orion partially blocked.
Overally, Boca did not show enough over the 2 legs, and Newells probably even less...but to the winner the spoils.

That hurts but we fought to the end.Newells are a good side but that 10 seconds was crucial. We miss a sure goal then immediately go down to ten.So close but not close enough.
    Grande Boca.
