Very hard for me to be thankful if the stuff about him conducting Inter's transfer business by selling them Napoli players he wants to bring with him come to light. I just think if it were to be true, its hard for me to be able to stomach respect for the guy...

Don't know why we keep giving Cigarini out. I've seen him play multiple times for Atalanta and he is a talented playmaker - a bit like Inler. I'd want him back because of his calmness with the ball, something which Inler lacks

 

Walter Mazzarri was the sole reason for this, very well documented he wanted nothing to do with Cigarini

 

No suprise because Mazzarri always use a specific formation and never rotated the squad. Cigarini did the right thing to move on loan to other teams without saying a word because a playmaker like him should be getting game time and not rotting on the bench. Good thing Mazzarri has gone now with his cocksuckers, as players on the bench will actually feel involved

 

I think most links with BPL players are BS... theres no way Jan Vertoghen leaves Tottenham... Leiva probably won't leave Pool either...

 

I have been reading the news and well...

1. GOAL
Seems de Sanctis will stay first keeper and we are buying a young vice keeper.
I can't say I am happy, given de Sanctis cost us many points last season and is no longer what he used to be. He does not project confidence.

2. CENTRAL DEFENCE
Canna, Britos and Gamberini will stay and Uvini will be loaned.
Benitez wants two players. My choices are Fernandez and Benatia.
Seems Benitez wants two EPL defenders, I just think they are overpriced and overrated but well let's trust him and see what happens.

3. WINGS
Please give away Mesto and Dossena, and please give Maggio to Mazzari. I am reading Mazzari wants Maggio.
Make sure we get Zuniga / Armero long term and sign two young decent players. We need good players here who can move forward.

This department worries me the most!


4. CENTRAL MIDFIELD
I am sure Donadel is on his way out and we have Inler, Behrami, Dzemailli and Radosevic.
We need one more player.
I am reading Benitez wants Lucas, I prefer Naingollan. Guarin and Hernanez seem unlikely.
Back up option is to spend on other divisions and try Cigarini (I think too risky). Gargano should stay with Mazzari.

5. ATTACKING MIDFIELD
We have Hamsik, Insigne, Pandev, El Kadouri
We need two more players. I think we should get two of the following three:
Cerci, Ilicic, Bonaventura
Seems Benitez wants Lennon or Ramirez. To me they are overpriced.

6. ATTACK
Cavani and Vargas.
If we have money happy to trade Vargas but he can have another shot as well.

 

Lucas is better than Nainggolan imo but hes overpriced due to being in the premier league and injury prone... Nainggolan is not so I prefer him and also hes a tank and can allow Dzemaili/Inler more creative freedom, a role Behrami can play as well but having depth is important to fight on 3 fronts, something we've sorely missed in years past. Ilicic said that he doesn't wanna be on the bench much, which he might be because hes not as good as Hamsik and when Pandev is on form is better than Ilicic. I'd love Bonaventura, if Cigarini is very good at the long passing (I just heard he was vital to Atalanta this past season), Rafa is gonna want him... Cigarini if he came back to Napoli would be our best passer. He's a proper regista that teams are lining up to try to buy him off Napoli right now if Atalanta doesn't want to pay for him. It's risky no doubt, but hes got ability... the only person who really didn't rate him was Walter Mazzarri. Fiorentina are going to push for him because of Pizarro wanting to leave. Fiorentina, Lazio are really into him, so if Lazio push for Cigarini, we should send him and cash for Hernanes. I think Dzemaili, Inler and Cigarini are midfielders that offer different dynamics to the midfield. Inler being the most defensive and Dzemaili being the most attack oriented. Cigarini likes to play as a regista I believe, Rafa might want him to stay because he does have great passing ability, something Napoli have sorely missed in years past, due to Mazzarri's demands.

We'll see how Rafa wants to shape the team, hopefully him, Dela, and Bigon discuss the alternative options to Lucas and Vertoghen... Nainggolan would definitely be cheaper, I don't see Liverpool being so eager to let go of Lucas and I definitely don't see Tottenham letting go of Vertoghen either.

 

Atleast with Rafa he will make it clear that Mesto type signings won't cut it. I think Rafa can be a success if he is backed by Dela. However, both of them have huge egos which could cause some major problems.

 

Mesto was a signing for Mazzarri from his Reggina days...
