Don't forget me. Every good shill needs a setup man to make stupid arguments that can be easily crushed to make the good guys look good. I'm the Alan Colmes of this forum, or maybe the token Republican on Bill Mahr's show.

    If Soumare starts:
    4-4-2 formation.

    ----MacDonald--------------Rolfe----

    -------------------Lindpere------------
    --Duka-----------------------Nyarko--
    -----------------Larentowicz----------

    -Segares--Berry--Soumare--Anibaba-

    ---------------Johnson-------------------

    4-2-3-1 formation.

    ----------------MacDonald---------------

    --Lindpere-------Rolfe--------Nyarko--

    -------Pasuse----------Larentowicz------

    -Segares--Berry--Soumare--Anibaba--

    ------------------Johnson------------------

For this game I don't it's going to matter, RSL is going to destroy us. Unless somehow we get Pappa to come back and play in this one, we could use a Pappa hattrick.....

Kinda reminds me of the feeling before that game a few years back when we went to LA under CDLC and shocked them. Everyone picked us to get killed, and we wiped the floor with them, and Collins John looked awesome.

RSL is just terrified of us now that we have Soumare. They're shaking in their shoes, I tell you!

I would ask the players if they think a tie would be a good result...and if they say yes...bench them.

And then if there's not enough for the starting lineup...ask again.

I'd ask them if a tie is a good result...then regardless of what they say, fire them and bring in better players.

    Then why ask?

Would you get rid of SJ, Berry, and Nyarko too?

The problem isn't necessarily a lack of desire. I think the players want to win. The problem is a lack of ability where what ability we do have is hindered by poor tactics and organization.

I've seen with my own eyes a lack of desire...but of coarse the players want to win...

Sometimes the lack of ability can be resolved by playing as a team...Frank has made some changes in the lineup, but the mentality of play is still lacking any real offensive pressure...

and Andy is a cheap bastard.

OK, but I was talking about players other than Deep Dish.

Part of the problem is that once you get on a losing streak, it's easy to get down on yourself. This is especially true when you have no reason to think things will get better. If we were just waiting for a good player signing or for an important player who would solve our problems to get back from injury, that would be one thing but we don't have that. Soumare won't cause a massive improvement in our play and he does nothing to solve our biggest problem which is we can't score. So it's status quo for the foreseeable future and when the status quo is 2-7-1, that's pretty discouraging.

I would trade nyarko in a heart beat for right mid who could shoot from outside , effectively run and play the touchline, and provide some actual width to the teams midfield so opposing clubs have to do more game planning than double teaming at the edge of the box.

    If Soumare and Magee start:
    4-4-2 formation.

    ----MacDonald--------------Rolfe----

    -------------------Lindpere------------
    --Magee-----------------------Nyarko--
    -----------------Larentowicz----------

    -Segares--Berry--Soumare--Anibaba-

    ---------------Johnson-------------------

    4-2-3-1 formation.

    ----------------MacDonald---------------

    --Magee-------Rolfe--------Nyarko--

    -------Pasuse----------Larentowicz------

    -Segares--Berry--Soumare--Anibaba--

Soumare is available for today's game, let's hope that Magee is also available.

I doubt Magee will be available. He'll probably make his debut in the Open Cup game.

I don't see why he wouldn't be available, he's fit, he's in LA, so he dosen't have go very far. Oh I know now, Frankie has to bring him along slowly and get him use to his new teammates.

Why? His teammates aren't use to each other yet, either, based on how they've played together this season!

Maybe he'll be ready by September!

If you had the chance to pick your starting 11 from the projected 22 starting players below, do you choose anyone from the Fire? Maybe Nyarko? MAYBE Johnson, and even that is debatable. (and I HATE Beckerman). Even with Magee we would be seriously outmanned! WE WILL NOT BE IN THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR

Rimando; Beltran, Borchers, Schuler, Wingert; Beckerman, Grabavoy, Gil, Morales; Saborio, Plata
    VERSUS
Johnson, Segares, Berry, Soumare, Anibaba, Larenowitz, Pause, Nyarko, Limpere, Rolfe, MacDonald

Nyarko as a lone striker? Not good for the Fire.

They do list Rolfe as a striker behind Nyarko on the telecast.

    Prediction: 2-1 Fire.

Why? Because we have to win eventually.
