Don't bet on it CR. No one PMed me. Oh well, their loss. :)

But there will be at least 11 of us there. Hehe. How pathetic that sounds. Oh well, I'll just be glad to see my Quakies.

And be nice, cuz I've been a Timbers fan for years (even before I moved here). So I'm thinking of getting season tickets next season.

I did....I was uncomfortable with your reply though:

LDB: I'll take a spot on your floor.

SJQF: That floor is so uncomfortable......you can sleep in my bed ya big stud!

LDB: But i'm married and I love my wife.

SJQF: Whatever wussy boy......put up or shut up.....i'll show you my new Nike Swoosh tattoo.

    LDB: Oh.....i don't know.....i barely know you.

SJQF: Know schmo......are you a man or a mouse?

LDB: My dog ate my tickets.

    SJQF:

*Above conversation may or may not be an LDB fantasy post.....you be the judge.

Can't believe we're gonna have visiting supporters in Portland. Occasionally Seattle will send 4 or 5 people (their ENTIRE supporters group btw) and Vancouver will send a similar number. 10 or 11 is an unheard of number, unless you consider Portland. We're just about the only A League team with decent road crowds-there are some good road trips by East Coast fans but out West we're it. Come to Portland and have fun! Hope you lose ;)
San Jose's my favorite MLS club but I'm gonna have to think up some evil stuff to chant against them next week. What a dilema...

Portland v. San Hoser is coming up this week, what do you think the outcome will be? Also, are there any fans that will make the trip? I wish I could be there, but the I'm stuck in this 120 degree desert for a while.

I'm hoping a win tonight will be the first one of a string of wins. I'm sure Conway will get a start, I wonder how many of the other reserves will play.

Depth is going to be an issue right now, so another patchwork lineup. Given the woes as of late, it would be great to see if the lads can advance further in the Open Cup and it's high time they started to play to win here than in years past. Not thinking the worst, but if they continue to slump in the league matches, this tournament might be the one motivational fuel to keep them going. Cheers!

And hopefully the Quakes don't incur any injuries today, of course. ;)

18th minute, PK for the Quakes, red card on Timbers' Wilkinson

    Ekelund scores the PK!

Sounds like he got booked for a denial of a clear goal scoring opportunity. Ouch for Portland.

Finally, the lads get one in from the spot!

FYI--presuming the Quakes advance, they will travel to play the winner of the Los Angeles/Minnesota match (July 20). The next round if they go further will be tentatively scheduled for August 4. Cheers!
