    i'd love De Sciglio, but theres no way in hell Milan would give him up...

    Right back is something we haven't had to deal with in quite a while... haha. Having one that can cross if we play Pandev and Insigne as inverted wingers will be tremendously helpful.

    So Armero is a priority imo... play him as a marauding left back... Insigne and Armero have great chemistry in the limited time they got to play together

    so now we gotta deal with Rightback, 3 man backline means we got CBs out the ass so i think we're good there tbh

    I doubt we would get Santon. If he comes back to Italy he's going to Milan. I wish we would have got Massaido Haidara who went to Newcastle. We should pluck a young rb or lb from ligue one if Dela is serious about this youth movement.

    dela was a big fan of valero, dont think he has a problem with buying from other leagues, he's not as negative as that guy who use to sit on our bench,
    hahai take it yu know what im going to say, well im not going to say what you think i am, if santon plays on the right then it might be a decent option, i just think he's crap on the left

    LoL. What a great supporter of your Crew, you are. Chivas fans have more pride in their team and they only have about 1,00 people that actually pay for their tickets.

    You're not going to goad me.

    1. I don't know why you wanted to make this bet so badly.
    2. You obviously have something pre-planned.
    3. I don't care enough about this account to change my sig or avatar again.

    New York is the better team. Columbus has won't a match in almost three years against them. It's a team I support, but not like a blind dumbass. -2 or drop it. Good day, sir.

    Guys we need more structure in our discussions. When you suggest players please think of budget and position. Let's be realistic.

    It is fair to assume we will play 4-2-3-1.
    It is also fair to assume that Cavani will leave.

    First we must find a new coach!
    Options: Benitez and Blanc are my favorite options of who we can realistically get!

    Goal
    Kick out Colombo and Rosati.
    Spend 10mn on a great keeper and promote a youth keeper.
    FIRST KEEPER, de Sanctis, Youth Keeper

    In the meantime we should sort out central defense.
    Fernandez wants to come back.
    We have Cannavaro, Britos, Gamberini.
    We should loan out Uvini.
    Buy Benatia for 13mn.
    xxx---XXX--XXX---xxx
    -----------xxx------------
    Benatia, Fernandez, Britos, Cannavaro, Gamberini

    Wings

    XXX---xxx--xxx---XXX
    ------------xxx------------

    Right: Zuniga, Maggio
    Left: Armero, new player
    We will probably have to spend 13mn. If Zuniga is sold We will need a quality player there.
    We can't rely on Maggio and Mesto should be sold.
    Here decision depends on the coach.

    Defensive Midfield
    ---------xxx----------
    --xxx----xxx------xxx
    ------XXX-XXX------
    We need to sell Donadel and buy Naingollan or someone of similar quality.
    Will cost us 13mn.
    Inler, Naingollan, Dzemailli, Behrami, Radosevic

    Attacking Midfield
    ---------xxx----------
    --XXX---XXX--XXX-
    ------xxx---xxx------
    Assuming Cavani will leave
    We have to buy Ilicic 6mn and Damio 18mn
    Hamsik, Damio, Pandev, Insigne, Ilicic, El Kadouri

    Attack
    Dzeko, Vargas
    My math:
    40mn <- Cavani
    5mn <- Gargano
    6mn <- Cigarini, Mesto, Dossena, Donadel, Rosati
    Total: 51mn
    Dzeko -> 0
    Damio ->18mn
    Naingollan - >13mn
    Benatia -> 13mn
    Keeper -> 10mn
    Armero -> 8mn
    Ilicic -> 6mn
    New Left Defender ->5mn
    Total: 73mn

    NET SPEND: 22mn

    No excuses to not have a super strong team next year!
    --------------------Dzeko---------------------- (Vargas)
    -------Damio------Hamsik (C)---Ilicic------- (Insigne, Pandev, El Kadouri)
    --------------Inler-----Naingollan------------- (Dzemailli, Behrami, Radosevic)
    Armero---Benatia------Fernandez------Zuniga (New Left, Maggio, Canna, Britos, Gamb)
    ---------------STRONG KEEPER---------------- (de Sanctis)

    Careca, that is a quality breakdown but do you honestly think we will spend 73 mil in addition to getting Dzeko? With the Lavezzi money very little of it was reinvested into the squad. I think Dela will spend a decent amount of money knowing that we no longer have a player who can single handedly win us games but no more than 40 mil. I think if we get Dzeko, Damaio won't come. I hope I am wrong.

    Also Damiao is not an attacking midfielder or winger, he's a 6'2 poacher and thus would not play with Cavani in a 4-2-3-1. Plus Damiao will cost more than 18 mil, most likely he'd be in the 25-30 range. We will not keep Cavani and get Damiao or Dzeko, they all play the same position and have somewhat similar play styles. If we keep Cavani then perhaps we will get someone like Immobile to back him up. If Insigne continues to play on the left wing then presumably we will need a right winger because Pandev does not have the pace. However Vargas could play RW so our attack would be Insigne-Hamsik-Vargas with either Cavani, Dzeko, Damiao, or some other striker up top

    We need to spend around 20mn on someone for that position if we are losing Cavani and are serious.

    We also need a big squad. Pandev / Insigne and El Kadouri should start in league games and the cup, especially after tough CL weeks.

    A shame I rate Fede... I guess how Walter treated him I wouldn't surprised if he didn't want to come back

    Fede's agent said about a month ago that his future depends on whether or not Mazzarri stays. Since he's gone I think there's a big chance Fede has a role in the squad, depending on how Benitez rates him of course.

    CarecaNapoli I agree with everything you said in that transfer strategy. But like some one pointed out I don't see us spending that much.

    What do you guys think about trying to trade cigirini for someone at Atalanta? There's been talk of either Consigli or Bonaventura.

    I think you will find the reason De La didn't spend last mercato was due to a combination of factors, obviously the lack of Champions League football was a major contributor but De La also would have been weary of spending as Mazzari refused to commit beyond this season.

    This time around it's a completely different ball game, we will have champions league football, we are trying to entice a manager the calibre of Benitez who is not going to be content to work with what we have. He is going to want to impose his own ideas, bring in his own players and add DEPTH to the squad which is something we have always lacked.
    I can't see Benitez or any of the other names we have been linked with coming unless they are guaranteed a sizeable transfer budget to strengthen the squad in order to enable us to fight on three fronts.
