No, they moved him to right field in the offseason. Its now on first. What is still is at second. Doh! is now the DH. We picked signed him as a free agent.
i'm feeling a sanction coming..... Houston Dynamo Supporters Group Unapologetically Tweets Homophobic Slurs
What I find interesting about all of this is that the main proponent behind the call for sanctions does not appear to have ever been a twitter follower of Brickwall. Right after "GayForSoccer" became aware of the tweet, a veritable storm began brewing, this folks calling for MLS and the Dynamo to sanction the supporters group. I have no doubt that GFS is behind the campaign to publicly tar and feather the individual and group that it believes offended them. Considering the fact that it was probably one inebriated individual who actually was responsible for the tweet, it seems to me to be extremely harsh for folks to be calling for sanctions on individuals who might very well have not been involved or even present when the tweet was sent out. In my view, this is something that can best be handled by the folks in Brickwall, but given the current political climate surrounding the entire issue of what is perceived to be inappropriate speech I'd wager that nothing short of public humiliation, shaming, and re-education will satisfy the offended. We live in a time where speech can have consequences far beyond the slight that the words caused. There are groups and individuals who will for example attempt to get people sanctioned and even fired from their employment. I'm so glad that I'm retired, who knows - Landon would probably be going after me for my Hitler reacts video and the CPSC recall.
So, bottom line is that the league has twitter police who monitor certain feeds looking for anything deemed offensive from anyone even remotely associated with the clubs?
You can't even hope to reason with the Rainbow Police. All for freedom of expression and views as long as it agrees with theirs. You might as well call the head of the Boy Scouts "The Fuhrer" to them since they don't agree that some folks don't want their kids led by gays. MLS is going down a very "unique" slope focusing so much on this issue. It seems like satisfying the gay community is first in their mind on all of these issues, to the detriment of everything else.
I heard a LA Dodgers fan say something offensive just last week. I'm sure that he isn't the only one either. I like the Dodgers, but don't mix me up in his comments just because I'm a Doyers fan too.
Well, only if it offends certain groups - like the gay community, certain racial and ethnic minorities, etc. You can make all the white Tea Party and Christian/Pope insults without any sanctions.

Save of the Week - 11 Team of the Week - 11 FW: Will Bruin (Houston Dynamo) – Though he had no luck over the weekend against Sporting KC, the Week 11 MLS Player of the Week was dominant in Houston's 4-0 thumping of D.C. United in midweek action, notching two goals and two assists in the rout. Honorable Mention: Andrew Driver
The current edition of the Pitch Pass podcast has a long discussion with Sebastian Salazar (of CSN Houston) on the Dynamo. (If you can understand a bit of French, it may also be worth checking out one of the last couple of episodes (not the current one) of the Coup Franc podcast from MLS, which has a really long discussion of the Dynamo.)
