    Congrats on the title!

In other news, the interview with Marcelo in which he admits his dream to follow Affelay and Romario from PSV to Barça was the most hilarious football-related thing I have seen all year. :D

Racist PSV supporter is now an Internet meme. Most pictures of his "act" have been erased, but you can find them by doing a Google search. Not going to post them though, but here are some memes for one of his other weird poses..

Edit: On second thought I probably shouldn't post the memes as well, but you can find them all over the internet.

Ajax have found "the new Vertonghen" at Zulte Waregem (who are doing very good at the moment in Belgium). Nathan Leyder signed a contract with Ajax only a day after his 16th birthday. Our defense looks set for the future with so many high profile youngsters in the ranks.

BG is this him on this billboard?

Alderweireld + Moisander CB partnership has never lost a league match.

I really hope some team in Europe takes de Jong this summer. This match was like playing 10 against 11 for all the work he did. He had one header that was more due to the good kick into the box than anything he did. Just a bad decision by FdB to leave him on the pitch when we needed some better midfield play. Too many lazy passes by almost everyone once we got into the attacking third and even though we did force Heerenveen to play a lot of defense the needed goals just didn't come. When the two central defenders are the ones pushing the team forward it's a sign that something is really wrong with the player selection. It would be nice if Feyenoord and Vitesse draw this weekend but we cannot rely on anything right now, just need to focus on the task at hand which is winning the final three matches.

    Player Ratings:

Cillesen (8) - stopped everything that was thrown at him and couldn't really do anything about Finbogasson's goal which was quite nice, good ball distribution
Blind (7) - solid match again and it's nice to see how easy he handles the cross pitch passes
Moisander (7) - no complaints about his play and he did push the ball forward when the opportunity was there
Alderwiereld (7) - good match and as with Moisander pushed forward
van Rhijn (7.5) - other than the Yellow card, one of his best matches in quite some time, pushed forward and what a wonderful cross to Fischer
Poulsen (6.5) - did some defending but probably was not really needed in this match
Eriksen (6.5) - some wonderful and some woeful plays, we really need more consistency from him
de Jong (4) - should have been subbed out and really was a liability today taking up space and doing nothing
Fischer (7) - well taken goal and created some other good opportunities
Siggthorson (6) - still doesn't hold the ball up as well as he should
Schöne (6) - looked lost on the wing tonight and his passes were often to lazy
Babel (6.5) - was quite lively and did a good job tracking back and helping out when the game was in question
Boerrigter (6.5) - almost brought the winner home for the second week in a row
Hoesen (NR) - not on long enough to create any problems for Heerenveen

The team was on a high after last Sunday's match and tonight's result should rightfully bring them back to earth! [IMG]

De Jong and Sigthor's son were pretty invisible. Siggy wasn't as bad but he had some terrible touches whenever he got the ball with his back to goal. De Jong was so invisible that I didn't even remember that he was on the pitch when I was trying to think of who they could sub out. Also when Fischer got in the box on the left, he needed someone in the middle but de Jong saw fit to slowly wander into the box and then stand just inside the 18 instead of making himself available.

Schone really isn't good on the right wing. We need a right winger to push him back to midfield. When is Cuenca supposed to be fit to play?

^I read that Cuenca is back in training but it didn't give an indication as to when he would be ready. Our midfield was a mess today and maybe Serero is an option. I think this was de Jong's worst match of the season. He really looked slow out there.

Referee told the media (Eredivisie Live) later that he should've awarded Ajax with 2 penalties when he watched it on the screen and also said they should be able to use it during a match. Meh, at least he owned up to it.

@HSS - I know that the hand ball in the box was clearly missed, which was the other one?

With Van Rhijn suspended it looks like we'll get to see a little bit more of Veltman this weekend.

Depends if Ligeon plays RB instead of Alderweireld. I think FdB wants to keep his CB partnership the way it is and go for Ligeon.

Good call. I don't love Toby as a fullback. Big game today.

These guys better wake up or they will end up dropping all three points. Just a terrible display of football with only one shot on frame.

Sigi scored a nice goal, credits should go to Babel's passes though.

Aside from the two quick goals in the early part of the second half this was a pretty boring game. I was having trouble staying awake during the last 20 minutes as there was little determination to score a third. I don't think NAC had a shot on goal in the 2nd half. We pick up all three points and now can clinch next weekend at home.

Player Ratings (at least for the times I was awake and watching [IMG] )

Vermeer (7) - made a couple of quick saves in the early part of the match which was absolutely necessary
Blind (6.5) - one defensive lapse when he was faked out but otherwise decent enough
Moisander (7) - no mistakes at all and his ball control was first rate
Alderwiereld (7) - loved the cross field pass to Blind
Ligeon (5.5) - real defensive lapse putting Vermeer in danger early on but then settled down
Schöne (6) - the holding mid today and his clearance on the goal line was necessary
Eriksen (6.5) - one great free kick leading to a goal and a bunch of others that were mediocre
de Jong (6) - I guess he was given credit for the 2nd goal but it looked like an own goal to me
Fischer (6) - one good shot on frame but that was about it
Sigthorrson (7) - worked hard to get the goal
Babel (6.5) - lots of touches as the team focused on the right side of the pitch but really didn't do all that much when he did have the ball
Hoesen (5.5) - didn't see a lot of the ball coming in for Babel
Cuenca (5.5) - will he stay in Amsterdam another year? Hard to evaluate him given his scant playing time
Poulsen (NR) - on for the final five minutes but I don't think he had a touch (but I might have been sleeping).

Let's the trophy up next weekend so I can finally change my signature line!!

guess I was wrong with this one. :D

since the match vs Willem II next week can't go wrong, I'd like to congratulate you with your 3rd consecutive league title.

Have to say though that your opponents weren't having a glorious season at all. I mean, Twente is having a horrible year and PSV's defense isn't even worth mentioning. Feyenoord and Vitesse were this year worthy title opponents though and therefore it doesn't make it less awesome.

    My prediction of the league at the end of this season;

    1. Ajax
    2. PSV
    3. Vitesse
    4. Feyenoord
