reyes did well against USA, he deserves repeat in the next match. Herrera, i saw him afraid in the match vs Jamaica but a think is normal, it was his first game with the senior team but sure, Herrera must to start. sometimes i miss Lavolpe, he didn't have any doubt to call Guardado when he was 19 in 2006.
Glad RML was called up, this should be an interesting list, the best will most likely be the subs of the main team and the rest will probably make up the gold cup team.
Hopefully we destroy Peru and Chepo sees Salcido is useless. Sadly he will probably just get a hard on thinking how much better we would be with Salcido.
That guy does not impress me at all, he runs with his head down.......i remember in the game against us Marquez Lugo was chewing him out because he gets that tunnel vision when the pass is wide open.
IMO Barrera not only offer speed. His corner kicks, set pieces are pretty damn good too. I'm glad he is being called back. Possibly he is second to Guardado if not tied in terms of set pieces and corner kick accuracy.
I saw some of the few games he played in. He was outmatched the moment he set foot in England, every cut and burst of speed he showed in Mexico wasn't enough to get by physical defenders. And he never tracked back, if West Ham was defending, he would wait close to midfield to receive the ball unless the coach yelled at him to go help out the defense. He played one game with West Ham when they were in the Championship. In that game he got an assist off a corner, one week later he would be at Zaragoza, where all he did was score an offside goal against Villareal and then drop into obscurity after Aguirre was sacked. I always thought he should've stayed in West Ham and helped his team come back up but he didn't and now he's in Cruz Azul.
