I think the distinction people are trying to make isn't so much student v non student, but real fan v disinterested douchebag. But college night does bring out the douchebags, no doubt.
This. I'm all for new fans. And I totally get that new fans aren't going show up fully "indoctrinated" from the get-go. I'm just a little past the point where I'm always up for being the guy in the middle of a bunch of furiously texting, group-photo-taking drunk young people half my age. Nothing wrong with it, and I have from time to time tried to "model" supporter/hardcore fan behavior. But if you often stand on the fringes of the SG rather than in the middle like I often do, being "that guy" means you can end up being the lone middle-aged guy surrounded by happy drunks singing songs that they don't know the words to. Some days I'm up for that; the older I get, the less that happens. So I'm saying--have fun, college kids. I'll stand elsewhere, though.
Last Year I paid for MLS Live (MLS Direct) to watch streamed games. However, every game was blacked out. Does anyone know if that's also the case this year? I'm not using any TV provider, rather streamed content (Roku, Amazon, Netflix).
Whatever the general case is, this game should not be blacked out because there's no local coverage. Thx, Jay!
I meant to mention this a few days ago, but it could be fun getting to RFK with cherry blossoms, Nats, and Caps.
With as shaky as Robles has been, we need to put as many shots on frame as possible. Last week, Chicago had 4 SOG and three goals.
actually the funny thing is thats a stat you could twist either way "our strikers are lethal..." or "2 shots in 5 games...from strikers? wtf??!"
