No mention here of what was said. Then the author goes on to describe the match as a "niggly affair". Yes, I know that's not what that word means. But an interesting choice of adjective considering the hyper PC world we now live in.

 

Corinthians vs Boca Jrs. tonight in Copa Libertadores knock out rounds.
This is the return leg (vuelta) and Boca hold a slight 1-0 edge over the current World Champions Corinthians.
To make no mention that it is once again an Argie club versus a Brasilian club which needs no explaining now does it.
Game goes live at 7 CST on Fox Deportes and I am sure you can find a stream somewhere.

Shit man, if I tried to DVR every game on I would never have time to watch them again.

 

I hear ya.
However, a little H-Town wisdom here, women and sports on TV are both like binary numbers.
There are the do's and the do not's. Within the first 2-3 minutes of seeing them, a guy has to make his call if it' gonna be a do or do not.

Kind of sad day in football. So many people retiring: Ferguson, Beckham, Scholes, Feirrera, Carragher, etc.

Also an anti-climactic end to the BPL season as Newcastle didn't even try versus Arsenal. Bale had another amazing goal. 5-5 WBA v Man U finish.

I'll bet Beckham, while officially retired, will probably play some testimonial and charity matches.

 

I'm going to miss Ferguson. He always reminds me of my Dad. The end of an era for MUFC, and LFC.

I'm wondering if Dempsey will stay with Spurs.



Next season is going to be great. We'll finally get some excellent coverage of the BPL.

 

It still bothers me that people call it BPL.

 

It'll be strange whenever they change the name. Like when the Winston Cup became the Sprint Cup.

 

Why can't be called The MLS.

It's LA liga and LA liga Mx. Not. Just liga or liga Mx.

Well, I heard it called EPL for over 15 years. I almost had my ears checked when announcers starting calling it BPL.

 

Just for you, I'm going to refer to it as the EPL on these boards again.
