What can I say I'm a masochist. The boys better bring it Saturday. I really can take losing, I can even take looking foolish, but damn if I want to watch guys out there with no passion. I was so angry last night, but to prove how masochistic I am my parting thought just before I went to bed was, yeah but it will be nice to see an in form Martino with Buddle and Cunningham. Cunningham said his injury was just a strain but the trainer didn't want to risk it when I saw him pregame. Said he really wants to get out there on Saturday. Hejduk's going to be out for a bit, Elliott should be available for the game, Herdsman still out with the Knee my guess at the lineup: ------------Busch-------------- Oughton----Fraser------Marshall -------Elliott------Lagos-------- Paule------Martino------Deadman ------Cunny-----Buddle------- Oh Bill, you know your duty.
That's a pretty solid bet, I think. What's up with Nelly? I'd certainly prefer him out there over Duncs. Since Denton has had a tough run of late, how about sitting him, sliding Lagos, Elliott and Paule over one, and sticking Sutton (or, ugh, Oughton) out there? Or doing a straight-swap with Testo?
I have a feeling Nelson is on the far end of the bench right now. Honestly I'd like to see Cunny, Buddle, and Scott out there. Maybe a 3-4-3 or at least see if Scott can play in the RW role in the 3-5-2.
I just hope that Akwari, despite his recent rough performances, doesn't contract Chris Leitch Disease. The rate at which that disease consumes its victims is startling.
It's certainly not fatal. Leitch has been excellent all season for the Metros, and only missed one game all season (injury). He's played all 90 of every other game, and had he not missed that one, he'd be leading the team in minutes (2nd behind Gavin). He's one I'd like back.
A friend of mine talked to him before the game, he said he was on the sub-list for last nights game and might play on Saturday.
....Cunningham...Buddle.... Lagos.....Martino.....Hejduk .........Elliott....Paule......... ...Marshall.Fraser.Akwari... ..............Busch.............. Sutton better play this game....Andrulis didn't give him any time in the US Open Cup game, so maybe he's resting him for Saturday.
The chances of 6 inches of snow before the game are better than Sutton seeing the pitch. He will never play in the yellow and black. He will ride the bench all season - get cut - get picked up by Chicago - start his first 10 games - make the all-star team - and, of course, score 5 goals in 4 games against his previous team who slighted him. Greg will then spout off about how he always saw "great potential....but never had the time to gel with the Crew."
It's a three day weekend. I'll be drinking heavily on Sunday. I'm thinking I wasn't drinking enough the past few weeks. Having said that, FVCK THE FIRE WITH A THOUSAND GIANT BLACK DILDOS!!!
