So does anyone know for certain which teams are in or out for next season in The MISL and PASL?? Or at least which teams are fairly certain?
It's March 30. Rarely do we ever know anything for certain on March 30. I'm sure there are some teams that aren't certain.
On another thread, didn't you CONFIRM that the St. Louis was IN for next season in the MISL?? Wait til July, August and September.....then we'll know for sure.
Um yeah....but I was talking about teams outside of ours here in St. Louis (St. Charles). I was just wondering if people in other MISL cities have any inside information...Speaking of The Ambush,...I have also heard from three different people close to the situation that the Ambush just added another investor....
Again...do you think if somebody had inside information, they wouldn't put it here? I will never understand asking if there's any news. "Oh, I wasn't going to post this, but since you asked..."
"Oh I wasn't going to post this but" the Harrisburg Heat are now selling season tickets for next season. They are selling a ten game pack. Last season was a nine game pack. The extra game was for a US Open game, what the extra extra ticket is for this time, I don't know. Perhaps going to an eighteen game season with on ticket for the US Open, or better a twenty game season.
They are going to play Detroit 20 times (10 home and 10 away). Ohio...........................um no Cincy..........................tried it Illinois........................you got GAME? Who else has a 1K plus venue?
More likely an Open Cup game and a playoff game ticket, get the revenue up front, at worst if you don't make the playoffs, it gets applied to next year's season tickets and the team has the benefit of a non-interest bearing loan for eighteen months.
"In Or Out?"--great title for the new reality-TV series spotlighting the annual rite of spring known as the MISL off-season...
Speaking of PASL in the south central, latest rumors I have indicate all three Texas teams coming back (yes, including Beaumont), with Tulsa coming in for expansion. There are also rumors of a fourth Texas team. However, as I indicated before, the very idea of this happening so early in the Sidekicks' resurrection is so distasteful to almost every Sidekicks fan with whom I've discussed it (In three or four years? Cool. Right now? No f***in' way!), that I absolutely, positively, flat out refuse to be the one to break that story here. Sorry.
You mean the Sidekicks didn't take a huge hit because Chicago played in a small place and because that Beaumont (or wherever it was) game was delayed? You mean the majority of Sidekicks fans care about what happens in Allen and not elsewhere? I believe I had that one.
OK, I don't know where this is coming from, since I was talking about the region as a whole, but whatever...
I wasn't talking to you, specifically, so don't roll your eyes at me. Someone (forget who), or maybe more than one someone, opined that the Sidekicks would take hits because of what other teams did or didn't do. My point was that most fans don't care what other teams do. The Sidekicks did well with their in-game experience in Allen, and that's all that really matters.
Ohhhhhhh I'm soooooo sorry that my asking a simple question has annoyed the almighty and great OZ of soccer! What was I thinking??? Please accept my humblest apologies m'lord...a simple peasant's mistake!
I want Houston to have a team. I bet my cousin on all kinds of Chicago vs. Houston events and would love to add an MISL or PASL game to that list!! We each live in our respective cities and love to bet on the cities vs each other.
The league has its meeting in mid July we will know for sure then if the misl is going to add 2 new teams as planed but this is the MISL so we could loose 2 teams as well ..
I was at the Championship game and they were talking about having a travel partner for the Blast but a city was not named I know they had several investers in the arena I did not have a lot of Time to hang with them I had to Meet up with Stephen Basso and Dennison Cabral before the game got started . I have heard rumors of Philly , N J Iron Men but they are just rumors
True -- assuming the opponents actually show up and aren't wearing white T-shirts with numbers scrawled in magic marker!
And, going back to MISL 1.0 1988ish, wasn't the name of this thread the first and only agenda item on the annual summer meetings... show of hands, please (what do you mean, we just lost Chicago, Minnesota and Cleveland...)?
