Couldn't disagree with this more Zusi outside of the one tackle has been invisible. He has added nothing in attack Gomez had a few turnovers early, but he is pressuring the ball at all times and most of our attacking play has down the left where Gomez is creating space by staying wide. We missed hitting him in open space a few times
Jozy looked ok. Eredivisie isn't Concacaf. He was involved in a couple of nice moves, but didn't distinguish himself. Once again, not a lone forward.
Not if it is cam, but what if it is zusi? Jk has zusi playing defence and cam playing offence. Lemme think about that one for a moment and I'll get back..... B.t.w., coolest guy on the field fist half was zusi. You would think he played in Serie A
Yeah, and there's Christopher Sullivan rhapsodizing about him on Twitter and how his Mexican perspective enhances the ESPN broadcast. I like Sullivan, but man, he's got such a hard-on for Latin football culture.
do you watch the match? His stupid push of chicarito, was a calm push in the box? His multiple tackles form behind were love touches? He calmed down towards the end of the half, as did most of the players, but please keep your man-on-man massages for the bedroom not the boards.
Altidore was incredible against Costa Rica. Not just winning the ball, but crisply delivering it to a teammate.
Stop listening to the broadcast and watch the game. Darke had a possession narrative. And stuck with it.
Mexico will start very fast in the second half and look for free-kicks or a PK, the US need to get through the first ten without conceding or losing a man then they can think about more possession themselves as Mexico take a breather and gather themselves for an ll out assault in the last twenty.
That would have been a weak ass penalty. If that's a penalty there should be some players on the phone with FIFA about everytime they got pushed.
He shoved the guy in the back who was clear in. He's lucky the AR didn't get his lines wrong and call a PK
yeah i kinda got that impression too, I don't mind him though. I think with Twellman being painfully biased (which annoys me when it comes to announcers, even if its for one of my teams) its kind of nice to see this guy. He seems more partial to Mexico, but he does a much better job being neutral in his analysis.
This is Bigsoccer. It was Michael Bradley, thus it was a PK. Anybody else, it's a generic Mexican dive.
Klinsmann is in-between a rock and a hard place with Besler and Beasley's yellows...hmmm, this is where you make your money bud!
He gets a lot more passes played to him in Holland, and it's not hard to understand how he has a lot more goals there.
When Mexico have it, they tend to do something quickly. USA did a lot of side-to-side-to-back meandering, and sometimes Mexico just dropped back 15m and watched us.
I love how every time Ale says something the rest of the crew goes quiet. I bet Twellman is bright red with rage right now.
