Regarding whether or not Beasley makes the roster for Brazil, he'll either earn it or he won't, he'll either earn sub minutes or he won't, he'll either earn a starting spot or he won't. It is way too early to say he either won't go or, even if he does, won't play. Just like it was way too early writing Beasley out of the national team picture to begin with. Yeah, he had a couple rough years of injuries and poor form, but I am not sure why so many people have such low expectations of him now.
Because he's older and a bit slower. He has built himself up but is still a pushover for rough opponents with negligent refs.
Age is irrelevant. Selecting the best-performing, most-synergistic roster that offers the best chance for success is the only thing that matters. We don't get points for youth. Did he look slow to you? Maybe we should ask the Costa Ricans who needed to foul him.
Beasley next to Goodson on the left ? that sounds like bad news if so, then id also use Bradley and Gomez on that side both can track back and help if we have the lead, we can sub in Beckerman for Kljestan and use 2 DMs Altidore for EJ or Zusi maybe some Corona or Boyd late gomez --altidore -- dempsey ----bradley - kljestan -----------edu beas - good -omar - cam
With Orozco-Fiscal in, Cameron will be a CB with Gonzo. I think Corona gets the nod over Kljestan. This is Mexico we're playing.
--altidore -- gomez-- dempsey----Corona/EJ ------bradley --edu beas - good -omar - cam I don't think EJ helped himself with his defensive work in his snow performance. Cam has looked shaky at times lately and he might need some help. We know Gomez will provide some help on his side and I just can't see EJ providing all that much help to Cam. I get all the arguments about Goodson but he has played well for the Nats as of late. I am not convinced on Gonzo right now and while Cam could be a mainstay at CB he is not playing there for club ATM. I think we try and go at them. We are playing on house money we need to be sensible and not commit too many numbers forward, but we can't sit back and play in our half the whole game.
