You know I was looking at all the highlights from last world cup, we missed out on winning all of our games with defensive mistakes where we kick ourselves in the foot. (not to mention tronco frano who missed everything) Similar to what is happening currently.
I like this line-up but I would put Gio on the right side and Jimenez behind Chicharo. Then have Aquino come in as a super-sub
The only reason I don't want Jimenez and Chich at the same time is because I think it would be similar with what happened with Chich and Peralta. Our offense becomes too stagnant.
What i want to see, if Nilo can't go -----------------Corona-------------- -Magallon--Reyes-----Moreno--Salcido- ---------Zavala-------Gullit---------- --Gio---------Reyna--------Guardado- --------------Chicharo----------------- We need a true 10 in there against the bunkering Nads, Gio while supremely talented isn't a true 10. His first and only instict when he gets the ball is to attack at 100 miles an hour, which works fine when we are counter attacking, but not when we need t really build up a play. Reyna does hold the ball and that will allow our guys to make runs and move and get something going. Also i want Gio attacking whoever the Nads throw at LB. I start Magallon because I don't trust Meza to handle the speed they will probably put out there, whether its Johnson or Shea. Zavala and Gullit make a good offense/defense combo, I would be happy with Gullit or Herrera. subs: Aquino, Herrera, Jimenez
He is different compared to Hernandez, but I don't see him that different from Peralta to say he is "totally different player" they have similarities....Jimenez is faster and stronger I think...but their play is similar.
Jimenez is completely different than oribe, a lot more well rounded. he would make a great pair with chica... aquino would make a great super sub
