6 point swinger here against a weakened RSL. We will be without Perez (eh), Watson (Thank Gods), & Fernandez. This should be a good opportunity for Seitz and Hassli to show what they're worth. Hope we can stay strong on defense and get 3 pts. Discuss...

I'd much rather be without the guys we'll be missing than the guys they'll be missing...this is a winnable game. And if Seitz is just solid, much less good, I think he keeps the starting gig.

Yea, RSL will be missing some huge cogs for them - Saborio, Beckerman, Rimando (and Mansally who's been starting at LB...and oh yea, Beltran too. That's a serious chunk of their team, especially right up the middle of the field. This is a golden opportunity for FCD to get all 3 points where if it wasn't an interntional weekend, it might be much more difficult.

I hope Hassli gets some time. He must be in at least decent shape by now, 60-70 minutes worth.

If you guys don't win this game, comfortably, I'd be amazed.
you're size and speed are exactly what our already depleted defense struggles against.

I'd put money on Cooper getting a brace or more and Jackson/Castillo (is he healthy?) having a hay day against our slow midfield/defense

we've (RSL) never won in texas - ever.
In fact, the point we got last year against you guys was (I think, at least) the first point we've ever gotten at Dallas.

Amazing performance all around. Seitz was a freaking wall ... Castillo was the dangerman all night and then to cap it off with a wondergoal was fitting. Then, Jackson with the dagger in the heart somehow outdid him with a relentless, hard-worked, tremendous finish - two goal of the week nominees there ... AJ and Michel very solid in the midfield (though Michel's setpiece service was a bit off) ... John and Hedges were great ... wow, much deserved result.
edit: Loyd was solid, but is it just me or do all of Benitez' throw-ins result in turnovers? He really needs to play it short and safe.

Good on the referee for listening to Mr. Kinnear and finally punishing that diving...

How about some objective review :) I am not so sure about Cooper. Castillo goal was amazing, but over all if he can improve passing and don't loose the ball so easy, he will be in Europe. We played with a very weak team. It should really be (FCD) 5-2 (RSL), but both teams got some big misses.

    1) I think Loyd is worse at throw ins than Benitez.

    2) I want Cooper to do well but he is one of the biggest pussies in this league. At least when Ruiz dove, he did it with flair. And Ruiz would fight through physical contact. Cooper is just off balance and weak for his size. Stay on your ********ing feet.

    3) Cooper and Hassli on at the same time just took the air out of my sails.

FCD bossed the game, as they should have given the RSL squad available. I'd still take Kreis and his staff over SH and his every day and twice on Sunday.

Golazo! from Castillo, though he still needs to pick his head up more when dribbling. He started the sequence where Coopers shot was cleared off the line. I think Cooper had time to take a touch and bury that chance.

Hedges with the hustle block, fantastic.

Good to see the RSL player get a 2nd yellow for blatant dive.

Not sure that performance would beat a full strength RSL side but we are looking better. Can't complain about any clean sheet.

Time to get some point(s) on the road, draws would be fine, then lets beat LAG back at home.

PS - while I don't covet the 100 degree games I'm done with the cold weather games!!!

Dallas will not be a team until Castillo and Benitez are gone.

    Jackson should play left side.

Castillo's learning curve is almost a straight line but he was good last night.
