I pine for goals and guy who knows how to score them. Sherjill MacDonald scored 2 goals in his first 8 games, and played 1,033 minutes in a mere 14 games, I wish Franek got that much of a chance.
Based on the 4-5-1 system that Hamlett was dead set on playing, Barrett was the better option because he could stretch the field vertically and open space for the midfield to work. However, given our personnel at the time, I have always felt that we should have employed another strategy.
Unless the other option is a) contracting a communicable disease, b) being eaten by a Great White Shark or 3) being wrongly convicted and sentenced to being boiled in oil, the phrase quoted above should never be used.
And that's why Hamlett failed, because he was married to a formation that he didn't have the players to play.
Well don't worry, we've been building from the ground up ever since. Maybe one day we'll have our own stadium and a filled trophy case to compliment this construction project.
********ing hell. I can't believe we're still talking about Franek in 2013. Jesus, you're almost as bad as the guys who wouldn't shut up about Karl-Heinz Granitza. Just give it 10 more years At least he ********ing won something in the US and like scored 300 more goals.
Well since you brought it up again... It's easier to win things and score goals when the coach plays you....
Ahem. From yesterday's game against Polonia Warszawa: http://ekstraklasa.tv/ekstraklasa/1...a__Jagiellonia___Polonia_2_0__Frankowski.html Not pretty but typical Frankowski...
http://www.nasljerseys.com/images/Sting/Sting 79 Road Jorgen Kristensen, Rowdies.jpg Jorgen! Jorgen! Jorgen! Jorgen was God! Once threw a ball at a ref's head for making a stupid call. Instant red card. Greatest dribbler to wear a Chicago uniform until Nowak.

Sounds like a second bite at the apple? https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/threads/fire-bid-for-sebastian-mila.339261/
Well, it would be about 7 years too late (since we trying to get him in 2006), but he is only 30 and is playing well in Poland. He would fit our need for attacking midfielders. His National Team career may be over, since he has not played for Poland in a year or so and has not scored for Poland in a long time. He would probably be Designated Player, but I don't think there would be a transfer fee (Wikipedia states he signed a four contract with Wroclaw in 2008, so it might be ending after the season). He has 4 goals and 9 assists in 15 games this season (according to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/sebastian-mila/profil/spieler_16300.html)
