One of the worst Dynamo performances I've seen in a long time. Dreadful all around. Complicit in all three goals.
well so much for all the MLS teams making it through..... (I like seeing MLS teams put a good showing in the champions league even if DCU isn't in it)
If you thought my previous post was horrible. I won't even post what I want to happen to that city. It'll make Westside look like Obama.
Can't argue with Costigan at all on that analysis. Santos pounced on Houston's mistakes. We didn't make them work at beating us. Those mistakes were bad enough that they'd have been punished in MLS play as well.
At least their last goal was pretty. I'd hate to have lost on that Bad News Bears debacle in the back. Come on guys, really?
Cummings CANNOT get on the field soon enough. Giles Barnes- non-existent. Brad Davis- non-existent. Boniek- non-existent. Once again Moffat comes the closest to scoring. Boswell- horrible. Taylor- iffy. Creavalle- horrible. Hall- iffy/not good. Sarkodie- nobody to play with. Bruin- nobody to play with. Rico- meh. Driver- got caught. JJ- needed more of a chance. Ching- GOOD (should've scored). Unbelievable how winnable that game was. We had 2 opportunities that should've been goals, and we still could've played horribly and won!
I hope the violence decreases in Mexico but the cartels choose Torreon as their final stand and it gets so horrible they lose their team. I hope every single one of them get their legs broken and have to retire early and eventually fall into debt and become homeless.
Actually, I was not particularly impressed by Santos in either game. If Seattle can keep from giving them goals like we did, I think Seattle wins. That is, unless the second leg is in Torreon, then they'll have to put the past in the past and finish what we couldn't. And they certainly CANNOT play like they did against Tigres (though Tigres' B team looked much better to me than Santos' A team). If they do, they're done. But I think they have what it takes. Who has home field advantage?
Surprised they didn't dig up the CUSA tarps. For real, it's a weeknight game. Pretty sure Cal State imposed a capacity limit. They still sold over 13,000. I hate to give the Gals ANY credit, but they deserve some.
While bullets fly over the heads of your family members in Mexico all I have is a game to worry about Americans are the real winners.
I thought on the Seattle game last night they said the Santos-Houston winner would host second leg no matter who it was I agree. Santos was beatable over the two legs of the series. Frustrating the Dynamo have struggled in the knockout stages of this tourney since 2007 - with some really flat and uninspired road performances.
