I'm just not real optimistic about this for a few reasons: MLS club records in Mexico are poor Santos has done really well against MLS sides in the home leg Our record in Mexico I'd love a draw but as someone said earlier, keeping some possession will be key to reducing pressure on our backline. That will be a tall order. If I had to guess at a score right now, I'd say 3-0 Santos. Prove me wrong Dynamo. You have in the past.
I just noticed my typo, it was supposed to have said DON'T go getting a big head..... My bad, I was feeling a little dizzy from reading a WC post.
Hello, all. Long time, first (recent) time. Megadittos from the lone star state. I'm in Austin. Where should I watch the match? (Looking at DonJuego, et al.)
So...the ref for tonight is card-happy: http://m.houstondynamo.com/news/2013/03/enrico-wijngaarde-officiate-wednesdays-match-torreon
Probably Fado downtown since Lion & Rose is no longer. EXCEPT oh yeah it's SX, so good luck with that...
since this is the first time in a long ass time that SXSW and March Madness aren't the same week (WtF?) you probably have every opportunity to ask the bartenders at bars with crappy showcases to change the channel, most should have fox soccer.
I was at Black Sheep on the south side last night. They seemed to be clear of the madness and were showing the Seattle match outside. Guess I'll give Fado's a call first.
I've seen this guy referee, and he is the absolute worst. The U.S.-Mex game was a joke and he was in way over his head.
One of the Articles I read said "Can Houston do what Seattle did in CCL?" - The way I saw the question was.... Can the Dynamo beat Tigres bench squad at home with one man down? Yes definitely we can. Hopefully the guys tonight can do something Seattle didn't do last year which is beat the first team Santos in a two leg competition.
I wish that me and Westie were in Torreon right now sharing warm cervesa's and eating beans, as we get ready to march to the Estadio Corona in our new 2013 Dynamo jersey's made of recycled water bottles.
http://www.houstondynamo.com/blog/post/2013/03/13/video-estadio-corona-stadium-tour I've always like their stadium.
Will there be a crowd at the Firkin tonight? How's the food at Lucky's--can't drink, got my kids? Richmond Arms is the official viewing party for the Dynamo tonight.
I'm at the station tonight and so won't have access to the game on tv... Is the audio available anywhere?
Never been to Firkin. Food at Lucky's is good in my experience, but I'm usually inebriated when I have it haha. Richmond Arms is solid, I just don't care for the typical watch party atmosphere.
