Eight league games this week and three CCL quarterfinals involving MLS teams. Every team is in action once. Tuesday, March 5 CCL: Houston v. The biggest league match-up based on the early standings is Columbus at Vancouver.
And you can find the annual attendance for Chivas (and every other MLS team) in one convenient place here -- Chivas starts in 2005: http://www.kenn.com/the_blog/?page_id=30
My rooting interests this week. It's early but I still have opinions/grudges. CCL-style Tigres over Seattle Herediano over LAG You can see I have no league loyalty. Not with these two. League Reds over Sporks, the dream lives on for another year Rapids over Union, West over East Royals over DCU, West over East, part II Revs over Fire, why not? Caps over Crew, West over East, part III Timbers over Impact, West over East, part IV CHV-FCD, my only hope? Hilarity! Quakes over Bulls, part V
I'm also curious about how that Portland x Montreal game will work out. Montreal beating Seattle on the road was interesting. We still don't know how Portland will turn out this year, but winning two on the road in a row would be quite a start for Montreal.
Univision Deportes is adding coverage of 23 additional MLS games. These are added to the games already scheduled for UniMas. The linked article says that this coverage will not cause blackouts on MLS Live. Which is good. The first one is the COL-PHI game this week. It doesn't look like any Dynamo games will be on that channel. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/univision-deportes-adds-23-mls-151435630--mls.html Tuesday, March 5 CCL: Houston 1-0 Santos Laguna Wednesday, March 6 CCL: Tigres UANL v. Could be some spectacular viewing for the Rapids-Union game tomorrow. The Denver area is under a Winter Storm Warning for Saturday with rain tonight turning into snow after midnight tonight. 6-8" of snow with blowing snow and white-out conditions is likely in the Denver Metro area. The storm should still be going pretty much full-blast by game time.
I have a feeling they will postpone it but the orange ball would get MLS highlights on ESPN and elsewhere. League hasn't had enough of those "holy sh*t, I can't believe they are playing in that" moments.
Word out of Colorado is that they may delay the game until tomorrow. Supposed to be an announcement at around 9 am our time.

Dallas deserved to lose for 2 reasons: Being Dallas and being so damned lazy in the final 3rd. They had plenty of chances but were so nonchalant about them instead of burying them.

No ties this week! Home teams went 5-3 after barely going .500 last week. I wonder if this will be a trend this year. Last year's playoff teams went 3-4. Looking like we might have some turnover this year. But a long way to go.
Nice work by Montreal -- six points after two road games to start the season. I thought Marsch did well there for an expansion team last year. They could be interesting this year, but their older players will need to stay healthy.
Yep. According to the Power Rankings we are 1st (temporarily) but considering we have been done injustice in these rankings forever I kind of feel bad for Montreal who are 4th but should be 1st. Winning two road games agains Seattle and Portland and doing it in style is no easy feat. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/soccer/news/20130311/mls-power-rankings-week-2/?sct=sc_t2_a3
Here are the SoccerAmerica power rankings. They have us at #4, with Montreal at #2: http://www.socceramerica.com/article/50701/mls-power-rankings-montreals-road-warriors-win-a.html
