    This!
Thank goodness I have a Jets v Ovechkin (that 8 year old baby!) game to fall back on and forget this debacle.

All I can say guys/gals/ultras is this: We have spent many years now keeping up this website, discussing and sharing great ups and downs. We've seen great players come and go and come again, and we've watched our own ranks do much the same. We knew it was going to get bad. It came as no surprise. Falling hard is the price you pay for reaching so high, so I raise a glass in defeat as I would in victory...
    ...welcome to the basement.

It is about time to fire Schaaf. The whole squad has been changed in summer, but we see the same mistakes the old team did. This crisis is not based on the quality of the players - although significantly lower than Werder at good times - it is based on the playing philosophy of the coach.

We are pretty much the German Arsenal. (Hell, even the goals they conceded against Spurs were typical Werder style - guess thats why Mertesacker fits so well! ) Stuck in the past and unable to part with the guy that has shaped our identity the past ten years. The only difference is that we have far less money, allure and even in their prime Schaaf was nowhere near the tactician that was Wenger (I truly believed that if we learnt to defend we would have achieved so much more during 04-10...).

I bet it will take a relegation to pressure the hierarchy in relieving Schaaf, but it won't happen this season because we always win a few matches after such abysmal performances and Hoffenheim/Furth are stone-set to feature in 2.BL. With the prospect of losing KVB and possibly Petersen, next season would be crucial in determining Schaaf's fate.

And the fire Schaaf talk returns. I've been advocating this for a while. The spiral continues on a steady downward trajectory. Without drastic change, this club will be relegated in the near future. I just hope it doesn't take a relegation for the club management to realize this. I thought that once Allofs left the pressure would be steady of Schaaf to produce or get the boot.

I would say this was crazy talk but all facts point to its truth. I would have thought Schaaf was a goner 3 years ago now and I don't know what they're putting in the water over there but its effects are nothing short of mass insanity!

I started posting on the Werder forum many years back but gave it up and opted here. A good thing because I for one am a militant loyalist to the cause and not one man no matter how storied or influential. I said many seasons ago the guy reminded me of a common bus driver with a load of movie stars and my how quickly the lustre fades when no one's around protecting your shoe-shine. Dump this clown now and lets start talking about tomorrow!

It never left - Brandon, we are all in a state of denial. Its stage 6 of a 12 step program to ween us off Bundesliga 1. Step 7 is blind rage and days of uncontrollable weeping . Stage 8 we just don't care anymore and drop alot of F-bombs in our comments and talk about the scary experiments we'd like to perform on club management given the chance...you know, like pulling wings of flies :D!
