So far it's Oduro 1 and Duka 0.

  3. Rolfe fluffing the gift was the turning point. It's all uphill from here. Everything down the wings for the Gals.

Does Frankie have the guts to go to a 3-4-3 to get the equalizer? I'd suggest MacDonald for Anibaba. I'd also like to see Atouba on for Duka to bring some additional speed to the game. The Fire are still slow and deliberate when bringing the ball up.

As bad as it feels to be losing, I'm not ready to jump off a building just yet.

First, even without Becks and the Baby Jesus, LA aren't exactly bums and I'd already given up all hope of a win and most hope for a draw when I saw Anibaba starting and Arne on the bench.

Second, it's not like we haven't had any chances. I'm looking at you, Chris Rolfe.

Third, neither team has looked like a well-oiled machine. Sure, it will take a miracle but it's not completely outside the realm of possibility that LA scores an own goal somehow.

    Pause.

Of course you'll go ballistic at that idea but Pause was better at RB in preseason than Anibaba and if you say he wasn't then you're a moron.

I could live with Paladini at RB. Anyone but Anibaba.

  7. FWIW am I the only one who thought Paladini had an outstanding training camp?

Sometimes the things that come out of your fingers are really sick and inappropriate. Why don't you go to another blog and dazzle them with your troubled mind?

I am sorry but it is Oduro 1 Rolfe, mac, Maicon and Duka 0. Skill means shit if you still don't finish. I will take Oduro speed anyday. Rolfe has every shot in the book and will sometimes manufacture chances but Oduro createdt All his chances. I will take a few misses by him for his Proven goals scored. Can someone explain how people are better then Oduro if they dont have as many goals in a season as Oduro did? Rolfe has the skills and capability. I agree 100%. However, he will get injured if he gets on track for it. Inevitable. Or he won't score. Ok. Whoning done. I still believe in the Fire but sure hope Mac and Friedrich are not out long. Kinda wish we had Gargan still.

You're right, because that would mean that Andy would have to open up his purse to get a quality coach....

He could twice as good as last season and still be an MLS journeyman

Did you miss the part where he said Pause was injured? And personally, I disagree. Pause's play is too slow and deliberate. The one game I watched of preseason saw him bearhug the attacking player which resulted in the PK winner.

I'll be here when you finally get tired of the Fire being garbage, year after year.

I frequent about 7. No more time in my day.

Santos has created pressure up on top that Mac hasn't done all preseason. He certainly hustles more than Mac and that hustle created potential opportunities for us in the first half.

One more thing: if the announcers say "Captain Keano" or "Captain Big Red" one more time, they should be punched in the neck. That's something you can get away with saying one, maybe twice per half - not every time the guy touches the damn ball.

He's not anymore a RB as is Pause. Frankie needs to stop playing players out of position....

I don't speak Spanish so yes, I missed that. *ordering Rosetta Stone now*

Don 't get me wrong, I don't think Pause should be starting at RB either - except if our other choice is Anibaba. I'd start Mr. Warnth over Anibaba at this point. The kid may be decent at CB but he just can't hack it at RB.

I disagree, He lost the ball on numerous occasions that a player of MLS level should not have lost, thus nullifying any chances you believe he creates through hustle. His skills are really, really rough. Not proud about having a player like that starting for my team. MacDonald has shown serious hustle before, so I don't agree with you there either.

It hurts my spleen and anus to agree with you.

  24. First half stats:
    Shots; LA 5 (4), Fire 2 (0)
    Tackles; LA 14, Fire 7
    Possession 65% LA

  25. I was making more of a reference to Paladini than RB.
