Marcus should remain as the starter...

FT, 2-0. Hahnemann with a handful of saves in the loss.

    Ahh Cube, you get everywhere.

    Was it a refereeing travesty?

It certainly was a refereeing travesty, although I suspect we'd have lost anyway.

Hahnemann didn't touch the ball until the eighth minute, other than to pick it out the net twice. Probably no chance with either goal. Can't remember him making a single save, unless you count catching crosses. Distribution wasn't quite up to the normal standard, either.

Slight oddity - our previous number one Phi Whitehead wasn't even on the bench, with 18-year-old Australian Jamie Young there for the first time.

Is Whitehead injured? I thought I had read that he was.

He's not injured. He wasn't picked on Wednesday because he's expressed a desire to leave the club after having been dropped in favour of Hahnemann. Turns out that Ashdown was meant to be sub, but didn't get recalled from a loan spell in time, and so the Under-19 keeper got as far as the bench.

From the perspective of this forum, the important news is that none of these goalkeepers are any threat whatever to Hahnemann's place.

Just thought you lot might like to know Hahnemann's record as our goakeeper:

    Played 11
    Won 6
    Drawn 3
    Lost 2
    Conceded 6
    Clean sheets 6

He is an excellent goalkeeper and he's been let down by some poor defending in recent matches, which is unusual as our defence was looking very good. Bring on the Wolves!
