But because of the boom guy, we got the best line of the night...

Meredith: "So boom guy, when are ya gonna boom me?"

    Agreed. Completely and ridiculously contrived.

When did Jim become a teenage video game playing slob? Clark is becoming my favorite character it's a shame he came in so late...

I thought they handled Andy's unexcused absence pretty deftly. That's the tone that made the show great.

Most of the Jim/Pam stuff sucked pretty bad, but the last scene, where they agree to fight, was terrific.

One recurring theme with a lot of characters throughout the years is that you shouldn't mistake being a "nice guy" for a "good person." Some--n0t all, but some--of Jim's 'niceness' over the years was really just a product of being afraid of confrontation. Also, sometimes he just fails to do the right thing and hopes nobody notices. Years ago, he got busted when the video of him ducking out of the way to let Michael get pushed into the pond; there have been other examples.

And then there's Andy--he was such a loser for so long, I think there was a lot of sympathy for him but when given power and responsibility he shows his true colors--he's a jerk.

I've always felt that way about Toby--so the idea that he's really the strangler really appeals to me. But this is an American sitcom, so they'll flinch from really sticking to such a non-fuzzy-feeling point, so I'm sure it won't happen.

Like your support of Liverpool, we watch out of a sense of obligation, not a sense of joy.

I got a few laughs out of it.

I do agree, however, with whoever described the Jim/Pam/Brian thing as an "Emotional Poochie." It's stupid, and unfunny and doesn't track.

The rest of the show this year has been very good, though.

Read a short article how they asked Carrell back for the final episode (1 hour on May 16th) but he declined. Would've been cool to see what he's been up to. I'd say he joined a cult and shaved his head.

I thought the first half of the season was pretty good. The Jim/Pam tension, though, has made it unwatchable.

I could see him leading a call center for a US company in India. Somebody should make that show.

from what I understand, he was happy with the way his character went out and doesn't want to mess with that...it would be nice to get him once more before the series is done....

And that makes sense. Michael's departure was done very well. I have a hard time picturing what Michael would do upon his return.

Maybe give relationship advice to Jim?

If that is how the end the Jim/Pam drama I will be happy. Not overly dramatic but just rather matter of fact. Again if that is how they end the whole drama I am even fine with the writers including the story, for me it kinda provided some reality to their relationship.

Anyone think they'll do a "what are they up to in 20 years" ending?

Nine years of filming? When is it going to be on television?

Could easily be done as part of the final episode; as the last story line finishes it is revealed that a new film crew has brought everyone who is still living back together to watch the documentary, see what they are up to now, and to comment on the project.

I missed a lot of the Office since the time with Gabe up until the past couple of episodes.

WTF did they do with Andy? I've heard rumors that he was mean between but this is insane.

This episode was TERRIBLE. I don't know why I went back to this show.

That being said Bob Odenkirk is the greatest.

Terrible in the sense that it was laugh out loud hilarious!!!

Just goes to show how humor is a matter of taste, I guess.

See my new sig. That was arguably the best line of a show full of terrific lines.

I've never been a fan of "hour" long episode. Past hour long episodes were two distinct episodes that were somewhat weakened by being combined. This episode was all over the place. I believe it was a true 40 minute episode. I'd like to watch The Office in May. It will probably be an entertaining show. I heard they tried something similar in the UK.

Checked in on the last few minutes. The Andy story was absurd. Jim and Pam need to wrap it up -- Jim, you blundered by not even talking with Pam before sinking your money and your future in this company, and you need to walk it back. Sell your share, possibly for a little bit of a profit, and go back to Scranton.
