This kid went from Nike Friendlies left wing terror to off the radar almost entirely. Would've figured him differently. Anyone know what's up with him?
Him and Danny Szetela are two reasons why I am just posting on BS about soccer instead of actually being able to judge talent.
He played with the U17s in Bradenton. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=579660&sec=us&root=us&cc=5901 As you can see, at the time he was well thought of. He did have disciplanary issues at Bradenton, was given the heave-ho, and so far has not made an impact as a professional.
That's too bad! I remember he had a chance to go to Argentina to play at the youth reserves for Boca... still think he should have gone that route.
Carlos is still young. If he doesn't start playing in top 2 German divisions in the next couple of years, he'll probably never be that good of a player.
Having not made the grade at Energie Cottbus and Rot-Weiß Erfurt, I'd venture to say that Boca wouldn't have worked out either.
That's not what I meant; I feel the Argentine system would have probably suited his style better than Germany. Either way se la vi.
