For those that don't know: You can find top tier boots for $30 at Ross discount stores in the US. I've bought Puma v1.11 SL, Predator X, and Puma Speedstars there, all for $30. There is nothing wrong with the boots and I've used all of them quite a bit with no problems. As far as I can tell, they are not factory seconds. To be honest, I'm not sure how or why they end up there. I am still skeptical but I've never had any issues and if they're duds you're only out a few bucks. It's extremely hit or miss when it comes to finding the nice boots. Mostly miss, but the hits make it worth it. Others I've seen, but not in my size: Adipure III and IV in both FG and SG, Pred X in CL colorway, T90 Laser in FG and SG, Legend III in FG and SG. Plus, lots of indoor and turf take downs from most Nike/Adidas/Puma ranges (these are almost always there). You can also find replica jerseys, shorts, socks, and sometimes shin guards there on deep discount as well, from Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Umbro.
I live near Jacksonville, FL. I have to drive all over town for work so I check each one about once a week (there are 7 in the area). It seems like the soccer stuff is mostly concentrated in a few stores. Some locations of I've never seen much of anything. But it seems they don't get much soccer stuff in now. In the summer I saw a lot more stuff. I haven't seen anything worthwhile in a couple months.
People usually rush in and buy all the good stuff on the days that Ross puts up new stock which is on Thursdays I think. Not really sure what day but a lot of people I know get their boots this way, they mainly get pumas.
Great boots. Love mine, although I didn't get them at Ross. I still got a great deal on them for $70 from soccersavings.com (another great deal site).
