I actually think i'd rather see him in a good Liga MX team than these shitty ass spanish teams.

I doubt Mallorca could beat any mid table Liga MX team.

Not trolling but will Gio and or Vela ever actually make an impact( I won't say land cause they both have) at a team like Man U , Barca, Arsenal??? It's frustrating to watch them at these shit ass teams and ironically the less "talented " player is making waves and winning shit in England.

I think Vela has a good shot going to a bigger club if he continues improving at RS. Especially if RS is doing well on the table.

Gio, I'm not sure about. His team is sh!t and he hasn't really lit it up at Mallorca. He keeps getting injured and therefore not in form constantly. At this point, he is living off of reputation imo. That said, if Gio keeps getting PT with Mallorca and does well, there will be teams calling for him.

Maybe Vela was on to something when he asked for the summer off from the MNT to be ready to make an impact with RS... Just a thought.

Gio just needs to keep accumulating PT. I would love to see him lighting it up for a big club but at this point it is more important for him to stay in playing shape for the national team.

Scoring 17 goals as a primary winger against teams such as Barcelona, Atleti, Malaga, Sevilla, and Valencia is much more impressive than scoring 16 goals as a CF in the top team of EPL. Not sure how Sociedad is shit when they have been entertaining so far and beating top clubs along with that.

They're not a very attacking team. Aside from Vela's previous half-season and Gio's injuries, I think the main reason Vela has done very well this season and Gio has been lackluster are the styles of play of their respective teams.

IDK about Vela but we have seen what Gio has done with talent around him. In the Olympics he had 3 goals and two assists despite only starting 3 games. We know about his exploits with El Tri. He is not a goalscorer per say, his creativity creates opportunities for himself and others but its a team game and Mallorca sucks at the moment. The last 4 years he was in the EPL on a better team in a better league but never played, now he is an undisputed starter on a bad team. Stop bitching. He needs playing time to get in form. Hopefully he finds it soon and gets loaned out to a better team, if not at least stay healthy for the Hex games and Confed cup.

You make good points, but Mallorca is not even up to the standards of the Racing Santander side that Gio helped save from relegation two years ago. I'm sure he'll be fine in the long run, but Mallorca's long ball style will not exactly get him in rhythm for El Tri's passing game.

    People are never happy

Bitch about Jonna 2Santos not getting PT at Barcelona and want him to more to a lesser team

Vela and G2Santos play and get PT at lesser teams, but people bitch that they should play for top teams (Guardado also)

Hernandez is with a top team getting decent PT but people bitch that he is not a starter and should move to another team.

It is just the way we are, this website is perfect to bring the bitchiness out of all of us.

I believe in most of the posters it has more to do with the more widely embraced notion that we shouldn't settle. Thanks to our great success with the younger talent, every Mexican is leaving mediocrity behind. We shouldn't settle for shit. The players especially should strive for the TOP!

He has struggled to find form but overall has been playing well. He's Mallorca's choice set piece taker and I think honestly his difficulty in finding form is due in no small part to some of the players surrounding him and the current style of play at the club. The more games he plays though the better he will get and I am sure he will find form sooner rather than later as his quality is unquestionable.

damn, Gio should have shot directly at goal rather than taking the ball into the box and cross to no one
