and calm down manuel Emilio is only 17/18 like you said the odd are against him when it comes to playing in the NT, and he has accomplished nothing but then again 99% of 17/18 year olds are at the same spot as he is. Does he deserve a thread? why not he is Mexican born playing abroad.

Well, everybody here thinks of him like a possibility for the U-20, not for the senior of course.

He and Madrigal would compensate having Corona, Espericueta and Candido in the pitch tho.

 

That's a big kid for only being 17. His dad was probably one of the best "power" forwards that ever played the game. He was a threat in the air by either scoring himself or setting up others via the aerial route. Too bad he is not his dad.

 

I doubt the coaches even knows he exists.

 

If Almaguer does not even know about the guy in this time and age it's a negative point on him/them, and they should be ashamed. He should know about the guy having contact with the dude is another issue.

 

I remember Emilio saying once that the FMF had been in contact with him and his pops but that he never really got a chance to prove himself worthy of being on last year's U17 WC winning squad.

I think this thread was started when people were looking forward to the Mexico U-17 World cup and thinking that maybe this kid (15 at that time I think) should deserve a look to the U-17 team, that is why he got his own thread.

The kid is only 17 (born 1995) he is too old to play in this years U-17 WC (pretty sure the limit is 1996 and after). But he could still make the 2015 U-20 WC for what ever team he picks to represent (if he gets any good).

 

He has not been called for any sub??... He's bigger than normal , fisically looks strong, just saying... Ojala no sea troncon
