I'd take him in a heartbeat. Sure, I'm still upset about losing to Monterrey. But I'd love to see a striker of his caliber partnering with Sabo.

    I'd jizz in my pants
that guy would destroy MLS defenses. He does it in Mexico and tore us apart when we had arguably the best defense in MLS history...

It would be the 2013 equivalent of the Beckerman trade. I absolutely loathed the guy when he played in Colorado, now it's hard to imagine RSL without him.

I have thought about the possibility of landing Suazo but it never really took off in my mind. If he'd be willing to come here I would love to see it. He reminds me of that guy you despise so much but wished you had on your team. He's got a killer instinct for goal but he is not always as fit as perhaps Jason would require him to be. He'd also be very pricey. There's actually an article talking about the possibilities of him coming to MLS on MLSsoccer.

If we *had* to get a DP, I'd take Suazo in a heartbeat.

Took a quick glance at the wiki entry for him. It looks like he's pushing about .75 goal per game average throughout his career. That's something worth paying DP money for, imo.

I doubt the FO, or Javi, is paying much attention to your state of mind.:p

Had a crazy dream last night...

I dreamt that I saw a headline on Drudge Report that read "Morales inked for two more seasons at RSL".

    That's about all I remember.

    I'm looney.

With RSL's war chest full of money, can we expect them to invest in talent or squander on over hyped talent???

Because the Kreis/Garth era has produced so much of the latter? Why even think they would this time?

I bet they go the overhyped talent route. Neither Garth nor Jason like having jobs and would prefer to be on food stamps.

Jason does have a woodworking hobby. He could always try to turn that into a business. But, the food stamps would be the easier route, unless if you're applying at Vandalay Industries.

Maybe its time for the Kries/Lagerway era to come to an end and fresh faces come in

I'm not sure there's been a more successful team in the league than RSL over the last three years with the obvious exception of LAG. What would lead you to a recommendation like that?

No RSL off-season is complete without a Borgetti rumor. Of course he is like 39 now, so it might be time for a new target.

I just wish I could find the pic that started that rumor. Wasn't it the backside of Adam Acosta or one of the reserve players?

Clearly we got rid of all our forwards so that Kreis could partner with Sabo as a player coach.

    Um.... what the hell?
Yeah, last year was disappointing compared to what we wanted, but we made the playoffs, finished 2nd in the west, etc. etc.

The biggest reason they should keep their jobs isn't because of the success we've had, it's because they aren't happy with that success. I LOVE that Garson isn't happy with the last few years. If this were another professional sport team in the Salt Lake Valley they would be talking up how amazing their seasons were and such. Not RSL. Not Jason Kreis. Not Garth Lagerway.

You don't fire guys like this over the last few seasons. These kind of guys are rare in sports.

On the off chance you're serious, let me give you something to consider.

Reports are coming out that NYRB's next head coach is going to be....Eric Wynalda. Yeah, that Eric Wynalda. So a high-profile, big-market team decides to bring in fresh faces and they end up with Eric Wynalda. Meanwhile, the low-profile, small-market team in SLC has two of the sport's gems in Kreis and Lagerwey. If the best NYRB can do on the open market today is Eric Wynalda, I shudder to think what RSL would get on the open market today.

Until Garson has multiple consecutive losing seasons, I say you handcuff them to the bench at RTS and take away their cell phones so they can't get offers from anyone else.
