    Ernest goes to the Army.

The first few Ernest movies were good, well done films with solid art direction and acting. But the later films became a hodgepodge of bad lines and poor production value. At one time I had Ernest goes to camp up there with Godfathers 1 and 2, Hitchcock, and Kubrick. It really was a sad end to what should have gone down as one of the great movie lineages.

Does anyone here know a good board where folks post news and updates when a player goes on trial abroad?

I actually searched in Turkish - or what I thought was Turkish - and the best info I found off some Galatasaray sites (and I think it was their free topic basketball team forum) was that Freddy is there due to Scott Piri.

So, it may be training after all.

PS. Scotty posted the Piri info on the opening page but that's as much as my Turkish search has uncovered.

Do you think we're sitting on dozens of in-depth articles about whatever this session is at Galatasaray and we're just choosing not to talk about them?

No, but on the other hand if there's no news it's a little annoying to have this thread consistently bumped with moronitude making folks think that there is.

Now, now, V . . . certainly you've been around here long enough to recognize what you might be dealing with in the thread title.

The problem is it's a self fulfilling prophecy. People joke about how bad Adu threads get, and then he goes on a trial somewhere and then those same folks (sometimes moderators) immediately start flinging poo all over the thread, like a starter's pistol went off or something. One mod did so on the very first page of this thing.

It's bothersome for someone who mostly visits BS these days to find things out.

at the moment and recently lots of rumours and made up story by football media...
some says he is just there for training, some says theyr looking him/trial.

coach recently focus on the game results, cl race become good recently but league games not looks too bright. i dont think its a right time to talk about transfer names by galatasaray coach...

club fully focus on cl ticket for the second round,lately..
they evin not bother of local league negative results.

i think after the tonight game, we can see more clear for near future plan of the galatasaray in the transfer department.

yesterday there was a huge rumours that that milan baros signed with new club.

as i said in my previous commend. they will look for cb and forward ,play maker positions...
but they need to see their front more clear... and thats it dipends on tonight result. if they get second round ticket,...we can see few signs in the midbreak.

    in adu's side:

its also dipends on adu's push. he didint left turkey with minus reputatition.
so,this is a plus point for him for a next step in this league whether galatasaray or x club.

i think if coach fatih terim closely watch adu in the galatasaray training ground, i gues he already or could gonna be ask to adu's coachs.ie; umit kayihan(rize coach in adu period), and klinsman.
of course, scott piri will assist some report too to the fatih terim if theyr impress or see something of adu past and current.

its a forum.community. we all talks rumours, talks, opinion etc. relax fellas.

media never break to transfer talks rumours ,asepcialy for the big clubs.

adu to spend time in galatasaray family is good from everypart for adu's next step.
football media wroted down good ,positive news about this connection(adu galatasaray etc),
wheter galatasaray sign or not, i think there is good chance for adu to continue his footballing in the super league x club.

over all; this traning time with galatasaray is good reputation for adu's transfer market too.
there will be some interest as a transfer marketr time ones start. just be patient(spell?) folks. :)

But does anyone know yet if Adu is actually participating in training sessions with the Galatasaray first team? Or if he's just working on his fitness (alone) with Scott Piri?

I will add that the two-week training period - as specified in the original Philadelphia press release - has run its course.

    What comes next?

Good to hear! I think Adu should have, from the beginning, stayed in Turkey. Never should have came to MLS. I hope he can get some time there.

Are you familiar with Sivaaspor? Ricardo Pedriel plays there. Haven't heard much about him lately. He was doing well for them maybe a year ago. Do you know how he is doing (he is Bolivian :)).

I'm not sure about his prospects in Turkey, but I'm even less sure about what Adu hoped to accomplish in returning to MLS. I have no idea what his options were at that time - perhaps he just needed a break.

Please don't take us off track, just when we're starting to make progress again.

    Options were severely limited.

Remember that he trialed at Ingolstadt, a team in the relegation zone of Bundesliga II..................and they chose not to sign him.

It wasn't necessarily a bad decision to come back to MLS. We've seen what coming back to MLS has done for Eddie Johnson in terms of getting back into the USMNT picture. It just didn't work out for Freddie. (or Benny Feilhaber for that matter)

well ,last i heard, he started to the new season very well.
he were the man of the match in their first game of the current season.
they won 1-0 @gaziantepspor field. goal come by pedriel....and he saved a big goal chance of bosian ibricic shots on goal from the goal line. he saved his team and he bringed victory by his solo match winning performance.

later on i didint follow other super league clubs(sivasspor, mersin, kayseri etc), i followed galatasaray,fb,bjk, trabzon, bursaspor ,eskisehir in this new season...

but, i could learn update for you . stay tune pls.

    ps:

    gues what ? :)

this weekend sivasspor vs galatasaray . SIVASSPOR field.

i bet its gonna be freezing match day. -minus 0 or more...

if galatasaray lost point, they will probably gonna lose the leader spot at table.

sivasspor strong at home games..asepcialy vs big istanbul trio.

a side note for you; digiturkwebtv is the site of official live view tv ,for pedriel_sivasspor every week games.

Different player. The same Eddie was cut by a mid tier Mexican team and Freddy had to get him to workout in Bradleton with him. In the right league, that makes the world of difference.

Ingolstadt didn't want to buy his contract out. Benfica wasn't giving any discounts.

As a free transfer, he had offers from La Liga, Turk Lig teams, and English championship teams. Not limited persay.
