After some impressive minutes Thomas Müller shows in my opinion why he's ne center forward. Always on the wing because he can't challenge the cb's equally....and Robben once more with a major miss...come on Arjen what's wrong?!

I love Alaba.

 

Another 3pts... Not the most entertaining or easy game. But we kept at it and conceded 0 again in the BL campaign!

 

I'd say it was a deserved win, pretty good game from us - and again, the losing GK is MotM, we could've easily scored at least 3 more. Our finishing, especially Robben's, definitely needs a lot of work.

 

3 points in the bag.. This game was pretty much a snoozer.

Martinez... needs more time.
Robben... forgot his shooting boots, still showing rust.
Muller ... can't play upfront on his own.
Boateng... really hope this is not a 2+ week injury.
Bayern... still sucking on corners.

WHAT A MATCH.... (mind you I only saw the 2nd half)

The opening 3 minutes were as fast, exciting, end t0 end as the final 3 minutes into stoppage time!
It needs saying first ---- Eintracht is the REAL deal and are a VERY worthy opponent. Wow. Truly impressive display from them. Loved the CM for them. They are going to be tough to contend with the rest of the season. Veh has done extremely well with them.

BUT....

Even more impressive was the way Bayern matched every once of effort, intensity, and pace in the match with EF. What a game, what a way to make your point made, what a result.

I disagreed with the penalty call. I felt it was poor decision, but our angle and the replay clearly benefitted our vision. The angle from which the official saw it was the best angle for someone to be fooled into thinking Schweini had been clipped. It was a brush of wind if anything. I am not a fan of the fact Schweini went down.

HOWEVER...

When you are given a gift, you NEED to finish that gift. Alaba was a nervy pick for me, but what poise on the spotkick! His strike in the 88th minute was wicked good as well (from 30 m).

This was a massive game that will only cement the path this team seems to be on.
Can't wait for more!!!!

Congrats to Jupp, the boys and the fans. Wish I could have been there. Eintracht a tip of the cap to you as well. Quality match from beginning to end.

this is the third time i saw Alaba taking a penalty kick in this two years and all of them were exactly the same sooner or later someone will save his penalty

 

Nearly today.
However, when power beats the spot, never going to save it.
Half the issue with our CL pk's were they were hit with a medium-sized handbag.
Alaba brought out the Gucci on that one!

 

That's not true. Last year against Madrid, Alaba's PK wasn't nearly as good as the one today. Back then, he didn't hit it with as much power as he did today and his placement was much better today. I may be wrong, but I think he sent Casillas the wrong way. Today, keeper guessed right but still couldn't save it. That's a sign of a truly good PK.

 

pk's are a mixture of luck and confidence... even a "good" pk taker misses or gets stopped
